a mobile proccessor usually is the most powerful proccessor per clock

e.g a 1.7ghz intel or amd moblie proccessor can beat an amd 64 runnig at 1.8ghz

this is because no excess heat can be made in a laptop as there is no room for large fans or heat to disperse and more clockspeed=more heat

anyway go for the x1400 or if you can go for the x1600 mobility that card kicks ass

If every CPU on the market today were identical, then the amount of MHz they have might matter.

The 7400 would be a better choice, because it is built on a 90nm process. This means higher clock speeds, lower power consumption, and less heat. Even if the x1400 did have slightly better graphics, it would still make more sense to go with the Go7400. Watching movies, playing games, etc. will all drain less power from your battery, and the less heat the better in laptops because there are no alternative cooling solutions.
