RAM Compatability ??? Please help !!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi Guys .

I have just bought 2 1gb Strips of the Blue Mushkin DDR400 PC 2300 stiks to go on my A8 KN SLI mother board .

I have installed them on slots A of the MOBO and everything works fine , BF" loads quicker and for some reason i am usauly first in the game on a server .Yahoo

So anyhow this all working i thought to myself what do i do with the RAM i just replaced ? Ok i have slots B left so why not try my 2 512 strips of SAmsung DDR400 2300 in these slots .

I installed it and DXDIAG recognises 3gb of RAM . BF2 still runs as quick as it did with 2gb of Mushkin and my Rigg seems fine .

My question is am i creating any RAM conflicts or any other come to that matter ?

Forgot to say , please talk to me like a 2 year old , im a complete newbie at this .

No, there shouldn't be any problems. But Windows often doesn't recognize all of the memory, so rightclick on My Computer, go into properties, and make sure that it says 3GB there also.

PS: Don't post a pic, there's some sensitive info there.

in the start menu right click on "My Computer" then click "Properties". Make sure that it says 3.00GB of RAM near the botom right somewhere, if so, then windows has recognised it all, if not, there may be some issues. Note, there is a point where no matter how much RAM you have it will not affect the game play, it could be that the game doesnt use anymore than the 2bg, so that the other 1gb is sitting there not being used.
