i got a dell demension 3000 stock with a geforce fx 5500 i cab barely run BF2 what graphics card should i get? the maximum ill spend is $400

is it AGP or PCI? if it AGP then get the 7800 GS, if its PCI than youll have to get a new PCI E mobo and PCI E gfx card. also what are the rest of your specs

For AGP the 7800GS is the best for AGP. However I would not recomend buying a new motherboard and putting it into your dell computer. Since dell power supplies are made for dell motherboards your motherboard could get fried.

Just be sure if you buy a 7800gs to get the 20 pipeline version and not the 16 pipe version which is comparatively worse.

since he has an FX 5500, it's safe to say he has AGP.

FX 5500's come in PCI as well as AGP

It could be a plain PCI. I have a fx5500 in my ragass dell 2350, 1.8, 768. Runs BF2 alright on all low and only lighting, around 30 FPs.

do'h, I thought you meant PCIe instead of regular PCI. My mistake!
