New 19" LCD monitor...now what

Hey mates thanks for viewing,

Just bought a 19' LCD widescreen monitor with a native resolution set at 1440x900 @60hz. My rig specs are:

Windows XP
P4 2.0g--400 FSB
128mb Nvidia 6800 vid card
768 mb memory

My question is what can I so to help my FPS issues?
What do I set the in-game resolution to?
Is there any vid card settings I should be going with?
Any thing I should know about LCD?

Hi there,

With higher resolutions comes lower performance, I reccomend turning your settings down, leave most things on low/medium.

The only thing I can reccomend is that you play around with your settings, check what is best FOR YOU.

more ram is a must

anymore on low with 768 you get a hell of a stutter

Your going to need widescreen fixes for many of your games, BF2 being on of them.

Both are caused by lack of RAM, considering other things equal.

Can you tell us witch LCD 19'' did you buy ?
