    7600 Gt Co

I have a BIOS update which maaayyy solve the heat problem, but i'm having trouble just setting it up :)

    Instructions:
    1. Power up and boot into windows.
    2. Rename the setup.ex_ file to setup.exe.
    3. Instert an formated floppy disk into floppy drive.
    4. Run to self extact file "setup.exe". When setup is complete, remove floppy disk and power off PC
    5. Reinnsert the floppy into floppy drive and power up the PC.
    6. Allow the PC to boot up from floppy. This will start the BIOS update process. Do NOT turn OFF PC when BIOS is being updated.
    7. When the message, "update successful" is displayed BIOS has been updated and the PC can now be turned OFF.

Question 1, how do I get it to where it changes into setup.exe from setup.ex_?

Question 2, I can use a CD instead of a floppy, right?

To rename you right click on the file and select rename.

No you cannot run it from a CD IIRC. I could be wrong on that though.

When I rename to setup.exe, it doesn't change the format of it, now its basicly "setup.exe.ex_"

No, just change it to setup.exe
