Let me know what is the best computer. If there is some hardware in there that is so so, let me know..

Neither. Intel dual core is teh crap. 7800GTXs are obsolete now. Audigy 2s aren't top of the line. I'd hate to see the price for either one of those.

For starters, the first one is a dell. And like jimmy said Intel Dual core is teh crap.

Your best bet is to buy and build your own pc.

Something like this would be nice:

Processor : AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4800+ (Or an FX 60 if you can afford it)

Thats the basics, things like the keyboard / monitor and mouse arent hard to pick so Im sure youll be okay. The pc above is pricey, but if you want top noch gear then thats the best bet!

That is a high-end set-up you got there sirhavoc... only if you got that quotation last year! For the price your buying that DELL XPS 600, you can actually build a better pc, like what Sir. Karl posted although I rather go with the FX-60 (dual core) over the 4800+ dual core.

Revised that a little.

An X2 4800+ is a waste of money, your paying a fre extra hundred dollars for only a 200MHz per core compared tot he 4400+

You don't realy need SLI, its unlikely that it will be used and just ends up being a waste of money.

A XF-i fidelity isnt needed unless you are really into your sound, Music Edition is just as good and cheaper.

A. 7900gtxs in SLI are pointless, nothing will need this much, and by the time it does, something much better will be out (wheter it be G80 or whatever)

B.4GB of RAM is useless, nothing will use that much, unless you are doing high end CAD work or the like. For gaming you will see NO diffrence between 2GB and 4GB. 32-bit Windows can't even address the full 4GB of RAM.

C.An opteron 180 would be better than the 4800, and to be honest you could get a 165 and overclock to just as high as the 180 will go.


Just throwing the most expensive components together doesn't make the best computer.

Order the parts and build it yourself. Never go to a company all you are buying is the name. I can build close too anything that any company offers me and I have never bought a name brand PC. Laptops are a different story!
