yeah intel and others have a long history of this sort of scam. i've got both intel boxes and an amd boxes and for the foreseeable future im sticking with amd for my gaming needs.

Piece of crap blog. A poor man's attempt to try to get some attention.

Conroe is going to...well, beat the Athlon 64s, and AMD's got no defense against it. As Anandtech said, "2006 is painted blue."

I get the distinct impression that most of you didn't even read the blog in its entirety.

I believe the tests showed a reasonable doubt as to Intel's initial claims, and thats it. Those making vast judgements based on the information are just making $hit up. The article merely shows that the testing methods of Anand are possibly dubious, and the real results show that Intel's conroe CPU's might not be as good as claimed.

Keep arguing though, seriously.

Intel is actually a very respectable company... not all tricky or anything.

As for the article, am I missing something, or are there no gaming benchmarks? Because really, that's all I care about... Plus, anandtech says exactly what I think

Honestly it doesn't make sense for Intel to rig anything here since we'll be able to test it ourselves in a handful of months.

And another thing, anandtech didn't even run ScienceMark, so we shouldn't go saying that anandtech's benchmarks are unreliable, as the results of different benchmarks will vary quite a bit.

edit: yay back from spring break! well, kinda yay. Actually, not really. I have tons of AP euro hw to do, and I'm wasting my time on these forums :)

they may try and pull the wool over our eyes now, because by then I am sure they will have everything worked out to back up their claims now.
