Greatest Graphics Card Ever!!!!!

ok,now that i got your attention..
this is not the greatest card ever,i just wanted to know if i can use this to play bf2. i went to the store and was a little edgy about it buying it but i didnt. i came here to get some advice.. my current card is a RADEON 9200 PCI 128mb and afther over 25 reinstalls the game does the same thing... FREEZE Then CRASH Afther the cinematics movie(menu doesnt even load up)
now i only have $130 and i have PCI port and 1gb of ram.

if you dont think this card will run bf2 then can u be helpful and choose a card under $140 at that bestbuy link that will work.. i have a PCI port,i dont know if i have pci -e.. seems like every card is pci-express but yea anyway srry for the thread name throw off

Oh no a pci slot no pci card works with bf2 trust me ive seen this many times before

looks like your gonna be in a hell of trouble getting bf2 to run
your gonna need a new motherboard first with an agp or pci-express slot

no you dont have pci-e the 9200 series didnt come in pci-e only pci and agp

Good choice. You will probably be able to run at 1024x768 at (what I would consider) acceptable framerates on low settings with view distance to far.

In other words, they'll look a little ugly, but you can still snipe 'em.

Make sure you turn off dynamic lighting and dynamic shadows. Try medium on lighting--it really helps to see where those muzzle flashes are coming from.

Actually, try medium on geometries, too. That helps the view distance.

P.S. I'm assuming you have something over a P4 2.2 mhz/Amd 2200+ and at least 1gb of ram...

What is your CPU? I had the same card and it ran everything on low or off but textures and geometry on high

ROTFL. That's highway ****ing robbery. I got an XFX Geforce 6600GT at newegg.com for LESS ($120) than that and it's a whole crapload better than a 6200. I wonder how much of that $153 is paying for Best Buys executives Golf games. Oh, the 99 cents is the CEO's tip to the guy that mows the lawn!

btw, you're in the same position I was when I first bought HL1. I had a brand new 500Mhz crappaq from Sears and I thought it was a beast. I go buy HL1, install it expecting to experience the greatest FPS ever and I'm hit with the biggest disappointment ever: barely 1fps, crap graphics, crappier sound and $30 wasted on a game I can't play. That's pc gaming for ya.

have to remember he bought a PCI card whihc are more expensive due to the build process probably.
