Hello, my name is David Shefet. I'm a Creative Director with CM Softworks Inc. an independent game development company. And in this Blog, I'm going to tell you the story of how I became a game developer. I am going to cover everything from the very beginning, when I first had an idea of making my own game, to the point of releasing it on Steam. We are going to talk about choosing a Game Engine, where to learn how to write your very first line of code, how to engage the gaming community and share your game with the world, what to expect and how to be prepared for an uphill climb, what resources are available to you as an independent developer, which tools should you use, how to choose your assets and much, much more..

I will be sharing real stories from the trenches, the difficulties that we have encountered during the development and release phases. As well as touch on the key elements of how to manage and support your game post release.
