343 Industries Has to Again Apologize for State of Halo Infinite

Season 2 isn't living up to anybody's expectations.

Halo Infinite Season 2 launched earlier this week and it hasn't gone over too well with fans. Players of all skill types have been hit by several new bugs.

Players have complained about the semi-automatic weapons "jamming" on them when firing. Looking through the Halo Infinite subreddit shows several other issues such as not being rewarded for completing weekly challenges, attachments and charms being bugged...

Halo Infinite Season 2 is Another Six Month Slog

Whatever momentum this game had is long gone.

Halo Infinite developer 343 Industries just shared their roadmap of planned updates for 2022, and things aren't looking too hot. Halo Infinite Season 2 will go on for a very long six months. Just a year ago, 343 said that each season should last "roughly every three months."

The second season running for a planned six months is double that initial estimate. Furthermore, the first season for Halo Infinite will have...

King of the Hill Returns to Halo in Season 2 of Halo Infinite

King of the Hill and two other modes will cycle in throughout the season.

343 Industries, the developer behind Halo Infinite detailed three new game modes that are coming to the game in Season 2: Lone Wolves.

The first of the three modes is none other than King of the Hill, a classic Halo game type that has withstood the test of time. The other two modes are Last Spartan Standing and Land Grab.

King of the Hill dates all the way back to the first Halo game...

Halo Infinite Season 2 Launches May 3

Oh no, I put the important bit in the headline.

Well, this is awkward. I went and put the important information in the headline. That means you don't have to read the rest of this news post because you already know that Season 2 for Halo Infinite will be out on May 3.

What can I do to fill this space now besides uselessly padding out this story so that I can get enough information in for the preview break? Oh, I know, I can let you know that there was also a new trailer...

Free Base Assault Update Out Now for Generation Zero

New story content, base challenges, and more included in today's update.

The free "Base Assault" update for the open-world co-op action title Generation Zero rolled out earlier today. The update, available for free, brings new content for users on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.

The game itself, along with this update, is also available for all Game Pass subscribers. Since this is a free update, that means you probably have more money to spend at a...

Xbox Games with Gold and PlayStation Plus Freebies for April 2022

These are the free games coming with your console subscriptions.

Both Microsoft and Sony revealed the free games that are coming included in your ongoing subscriptions to both Xbox Live Gold (and Game Pass Ultimate) and PlayStation Plus for April 2022.

Both platforms are offering up vastly different freebies this month. I'd personally say that the real standout here is Slay the Spire, which will be included in your PlayStation Plus subscription. It's a unique blend of...

Xbox Backtracks on Sharing Media to Twitter Removal

    The complaints have been heard.

Some weeks back, newer Insider builds for the Xbox consoles removed the ability to share screenshots and clips directly to Twitter. The only way you would be able to post to Twitter, would have been to first upload the screenshots to the Xbox app on your phone and then send out the Tweets from that.

Why was this feature removed in the first place? It's not really clear. All that was clear was that users were not happy about this change....

    CrossfireX Developer Apologizes for Game

Devs apologize for a game that some have said is "literally the worst game I've ever played."

Executive producer for CrossfireX, Sooro Boo, has apologized for the game's launch. The game, which came out on February 10 for the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, has been dunked on by critics and fans alike. The game has suffered from several issues such as poor connections in multiplayer matches to issues with controller sensitivity and dead zone fluctuations.

    A new...

Review: Dying Light 2 Stay Human (PC)

If you liked Dying Light, you're going to love Dying Light 2.

It is late in the evening on the Tuesday before the review embargo lifts. The embargo is lifting in about half a day, and in typical fashion I'm waiting until the last second to put my thoughts to digital paper.

Having spent the past week playing Dying Light 2 Stay Human, I can confidently say that I am ready to give my verdict. That verdict being: Dying Light 2 is damn fun. Fans of the original will undoubtedly...

A Murder Mystery and More Coming to Sea of Thieves in 2022

The seas are still full of plunder and content in 2022.

A roadmap for planned content coming to Sea of Thieves in 2022 was provided today by Rare. There will be some changes coming to how Seasons are handled with the game. There will be a bunch of new Adventures and Mysteries added throughout the year.

One thing that will be added is a neat little murder mystery. One thing that will be removed, however, will be the game's Arena mode. The removal of this dedicated PvP mode...

Halo Infinite Big Team Battle Fix Doesn't Work

Today's update may have actually made things worse for other game types.

Last week, 343 Industries said that they hoped to release an update this week that they hoped would address the ongoing matchmaking issues with the Big Team Battle mode. Well, that update was released today and it did not help. In fact, today's update seems to have made matchmaking issues crop up in the other game modes that weren't there previously.

For those unaware, players have been having some...

Preview: The Anacrusis Early Access Release

What to expect from this Early Access release of the latest four-player cooperative shooter.

Stray Bombay has been hard at work developing what could be the next true successor to Left 4 Dead with their upcoming cooperative PvE title, The Anacrusis. While I'm sure they want to avoid those sorts of direct comparisons, it is a little difficult to avoid them given how much of the same DNA is shared between the two franchises. Hell, one of Stray Bombay's founders, Chet Faliszek, used to...

    NewsBits: Rollback Edition

    Oops.

You ever have think, "Hey, it's 1AM, let's do something stupid!" Because let me tell you, I sure as hell had that thought last night. Let's just say mistakes, actually several of them, were made. One such mistake was the fact that I neglected to perform a full site backup before I proceeded to do several more stupid things. This led to just being unable to do anything with the server.

My plan was to restore a backup from earlier in the week. I decided,...

DICE Removes Battlefield 2042 Rush Mode from Portal

This comes as the player count begins to hit all-time lows.

Prior to going on their holiday break, DICE added in a Battlefield 2042 Rush mode to Battlefield Portal. It proved to be a fairly popular mode, at least as far as Portal modes are concerned. It was the much enjoyed Rush mode but played out across the Battlefield 2042 maps, something that just isn't possible in the main game. DICE kept it up longer than most other modes and fans seemed to be pleased.

    Unfortunately,...
