Ubisoft Pulls Licenses for The Crew, Makes the Game Completely Inaccessible to Buyers

From the same company trying to sell you a $130 version of Star Wars Outlaws.

From announcing a $130 edition of Star Wars Outlaws to pulling game licenses from those that bought The Crew, Ubisoft sure is on a roll this week.

The Crew was Ubisoft's open-world racing game that was pulled from sale back in December 2023. As of March 31, 2024, Ubisoft shut down the online servers for The Crew. This effectively made the game unplayable across all platforms, including: PC,...

To quickly get you up to speed: Wolfire claims that Valve uses its position with Steam to control game prices and muscle out competition. Though the initial lawsuit against Valve was dismissed, Wolfire amended their suit in May 2022 and the legal battle was back on.

It may have taken almost two years, but we are now starting to see some of the documents that...

The heads of Xbox stayed true to their word and were indeed a part of a special edition of the Official Xbox Podcast. During today's pre-recorded podcast and subsequent blog post, head of Xbox Phil Spencer stated that four Xbox exclusives are going to be multi-platform releases. Is it Starfield? Indiana Jones? Gears of War? Halo?! No, no, no, and no. Though Spencer did not specify what those four titles ...

FIFA Manager 14 is the Last Game in the Series

Like managing football (soccer to those of us in the States)? Next year, you'll only be left with one choice as EA Sports is pulling the plug on the FIFA Manager series. This year's FIFA Manager 14 will be the final release in the franchise.
The football manager genre at this level of sophistication is highly specialised and primarily played in two countries (England and Germany), in which – on top of everything – one game has practically dominated the market in recent years. The niche

Xbox One Also Sells One Million Units in 24 Hours

Microsoft is calling it "the biggest launch in Xbox history." Just as the PlayStation 4 did, the Xbox One has also sold one million units in a 24-hour period.

Microsoft claims that so far 3.6 million miles have been driven in Forza 5 and over 60 million zombies have been killed in Dead Rising 3. The key difference to note here is that the Xbox One launched in 13 countries yesterday in order to reach one million units sold. The PlayStation 4 was launched in only North America (Un...

PlayStation 4 and Vita Ultimate Edition Bundle Coming this December

It looks like an "Ultimate Edition" bundle that includes the PlayStation 4 and the PS Vita may be coming this December. David Scammell, Editor at VideoGamer.com snapped this photo of an upcoming ad that features the bundle deal.

The catch here is that the bundle deal may only be for European markets. Yeah, bummer. So far, Sony has not yet announced or confirmed anything yet for any region, so keep those fingers crossed that this makes its way to other regions....

Report: Microsoft is Readying a New Version of Xbox One for 2014

This probably isn't true at all, but DigiTimes reports that Microsoft is already readying a new version of the Xbox One. Even more is that it may be released in early 2014.
While Microsoft will launch the Xbox One on November 22, it is preparing to introduce a new version of the Xbox One in the first quarter of 2014, according to Taiwan-based supply chain makers who say they have been asked to begin shipments of the new model in that quarter.

Microsoft Has No Clear Solution for Xbox One Disc Drive Issue

The PlayStation 4 had its fair share of hardware issues (perhaps largely attributed to disgruntled Foxxcon employees) and now so does the Xbox One. The Xbox One seems to suffer mainly from a disc drive failure and unfortunately for those affected users, Microsoft has no clear solution.

We know that with a hardware launch of this magnitude customers will have questions and we have many avenues for customers to get the answers they need and get back in the game as soon as

  • Double XP Event Planned for Battlefield 4 to Apologize for Server Issues - November 28 to December 5

DICE's General Manager, Karl Magnus Troedsson, announced today that there will be a special double XP event starting on November 28 for Battlefield 4. Microsoft Severs All Ties with Apparent Jerk KSI

I don't know who KSI is, but from what the Internet tells me, he's quite the misogynistic douchebag that sexually harassed female event goers at Eurogamer Expo 2012. He's been banned from all Eurogamer events as a result. He was oddly chosen as one of the performers scheduled for the Xbox One launch event in London. Afterwards, he filed a YouTube copyright claim against a journalist that questioned Microsoft's decision to hire a huge douchebag for their event. A "copyright safe" version of the...
