Discord Distances Itself from Gaming

Discord is now your place to talk.

Discord was built upon the idea of bringing gamers of all types together. It's certainly a big factor that prompted my friends and I to make the move to Discord from TeamSpeak and Ventrilo however long ago it's been now. We were a group of friends that played a lot of games together. We didn't like the quality of the service we were paying monthly for from the alternatives and decided to give Discord a try. We never looked back.

That...

A new trailer showcasing new footage, characters, and story.

Today, CD Projekt Red lifted the lid on a whole lot of new media and impressions for Cyberpunk 2077. A number of outlets have shared their first-hand experiences with a vertical slice of the game based on being able to play it for the past week or two now. Lucky SOBs, I'll tell you what. This all came together today in the release of those impressions to the web alongside a brand new official trailer from CD Projekt Red themselves....

Mixer is Shutting Down

Microsoft is pulling the plug on their streaming platform.

On July 22, Microsoft will officially close down their streaming service, Mixer, for good. The plan is to instead move all of its existing partners over to Facebook Gaming. This rather sudden announcement means that Mixer partners and streamers will be moving to Facebook Gaming beginning today.

According to The Verge, Microsoft "has struggled to reach the scale needed to Mixer to compete with Twitch, YouTube,...

Review: Disintegration

A terribly underwhelming take on the sci-fi FPS genre.

Disintegration, the debut title from V1 Interactive, places players in the shoes of Romer Shoal. Shoal was a former celebrity robot turned outlaw that leads a group of other current outlaws to take down the evil Rayonne. This is done through a lot of vehicle focused combat and some great character designs, but a terrible story with some surprisingly shallow gameplay. Though the game aims to become a real genre defining moment for...

Review: Maneater

A fun, albeit shallow, gameplay experience.

Maneater is one of those titles that is just the right amount of dumb fun. It pushes the dumb just far enough that you are not overly concerned with its obvious shortcomings. I suppose that any game that places you in the fins of a growing, angry as hell bull shark that can mutate and grow. These mutations provide your shark with gain special abilities is not a game that would ever take itself too seriously.

Maneater is a game...

Encompassing Los Santos, San Fierro, Las Venturas and everything in between, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has been upgraded for its mobile release. Newly remastered graphics including dynamic and detailed shadows, greater draw distance, an enriched color palette, plus enhanced character and car models make this the best-looking version of San Andreas

Xbox One Reportedly Costs $471 to Build

The Xbox One reportedly costs $471 to build, meaning Microsoft has just a $28 margin between the cost per unit and the price they're selling it for. As noted previously, the PlayStation 4 costs $381 to build, so what makes up the differences between the two machines?

AllThingsD notes how the Kinect makes up at least $75 of the system's total cost. The most expensive component, however, is the AMD made chip that combines the CPU and GPU at a cost of $110. The PS4...

Let's keep this rumor train rolling strong! According to documents leaked earlier this month, a Steam Autumn Sale will begin tomorrow, November 27 and will end December 3.

The document appeared on Reddit on November 3 and supposedly comes from a Russian developer that recently had their title Greenlit on Steam. Another Reddit user verified that he was sent a copy of the email from said developer. If this is true, you have about a day to prepare your wallets. I...

Fallout 4 Possibly Teased in Survivor 2299 ARG

I've been sitting on this one for a while since it wasn't very clear that this "Survivor 2299" thing was actually related to Fallout 4. There was a huge amount of speculation that it was and also some evidence showing that it might not be. However, as the days go on, more and more details are emerging that seem to indicate this is a legitimate ARG for an upcoming Fallout 4 reveal. Again, all of this is merely speculation at this point and may end up just being a huge joke on the Inte...

According to GameStop PowerUp Rewards, it is also the most "desired" game of this next-gen turned current-gen era.

Is a Bully Sequel in the Works?

A new trademark filed with the European Union for Bully Bullworth Academy: Canis Canem Edit has some fans excited that Rockstar Games might be planning a sequel to Bully. In addition, the "Bully" trademark was updated back in July in the United States. Rockstar has merely told fans of the series to stay tuned for news on any new developments of the series. The possibility of it being a sequel is quite high given that the original came out in 2005 for the PlayStation 2. Then again, perhaps...
