Xbox One to Receive Separate Battlefield: Hardline Beta
Right now, the beta for Battlefield: Hardline is limited to PC and PlayStation 4 owners. That means that Xbox One owners are left out in the cold when it comes to experiencing the extreme thrills that the beta brings with it. Cry no more, Xbox One owners, because you will apparently get a beta that is quite different from what everyone else is presently enjoying the hell out of.

Sony and Nintendo Dominate NPD for May 2014
The NPD figures for May are in and it looks like Sony once again dominates in hardware. Sony once again said that they are the "best selling hardware" for the month of May. Nintendo came out with a nice surprise and revealed that the Nintendo 3DS is the second best selling piece of hardware for the month. Euro Truck Simulator 2 Developer Given 1-Year Ban from Steam for Showcasing a Community Exploit That He Repeatedly Told Valve About
Valve dished out a 52-week long ban on Thomas Duda, a developer with SCS Software, the studio behind the Euro Truck Simulator series. His ban came after Duda showed off a security exploit in Valve's own Steam Community that would allow for scripts to be run without issue. He showcased the vulnerability by making the screen shake and play the Harlem Shake. Valve banned him shortly after for "violations of the Steam Subscriber Agreement." GameTrailers Hit with Mass Layoffs as Defy Media and Viacom Strike a Deal
Big news today in the gaming world as it was revealed that Viacom and Defy Media have struck a partnership that will give Viacom stake in Defy Media. Defy will, in turn, assume control over various Viacom digital assets which includes GameTrailers, Shockwave, and Addicting Games.
According to Variety, the deal will see only 20 Viacom employees make the transition to Defy. That means that across three major assets, only 20 employees will still have a job.

Co-op Mode Confirmed for Star Fox on the Wii U
Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed a few new interesting bits about the upcoming Star Fox game for the Wii U. First up is a note that there will be dual-screen cutscenes for the game. One will appear on your TV, the other will appear on the Wii U Gamepad.
