Review: RIG 500 Pro HX Gen 2 Headset for Xbox

Fantastic audio quality at an affordable price.

I was recently given the opportunity to review some new hardware from RIG (they are owned by NACON now). You already saw what I thought about the RIG Pro Compact Wired Controller. It was a solid device with a lot working in its favor. Now, we are looking at the second generation of their 500 Pro headset. Specifically, this review is about the 500 Pro HX, a headset designed for use with the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10....

Review: RIG Pro Compact Wired Controller with Dolby Atmos

Small form factor. Big buttons. Bigger audio.

The new Pro Compact Wired Controller with Dolby Atmos from RIG Gaming (now owned by NACON), is a great controller packed with a lot of features at a great price. There, that is the full review. Thank you all for stopping by to read this and we will see you in the next one!

In all seriousness though, the Pro Compact really is a great controller. I have been using it for the past couple of weeks now in a variety of games on my...

Valve is Working on a Switch-like Handheld Console Named "SteamPal"

New strings were discovered tucked away in the latest Steam update.

The latest beta update for the Steam client has some interesting surprises tucked away within the code. The new client update has several strings that reference things like a "Neptune" controller alongside something else called "SteamPal." The prevailing theory is that Valve is working on a handheld console, perhaps similar to the Nintendo Switch, that will be called SteamPal when it is released....

Sonic Movie Director Says They'll Make Sonic Look Less Weird

Jeff Fowler, the director on the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie says that they have heard the fan feedback.

Yesterday, the first trailer for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie was released and uh, Sonic looked odd, to put it nicely. For God's sake, he had human teeth! Why?!

Naturally, the reaction online to Sonic's design ranged everywhere from laughter, to horror, to anger, to some suggestions on how to make him look better, and to an absolutely crapload of amazing...

World War Z to Receive Post-Launch Content as Game Sales Surpass 1 Million

World War Z is the latest, and some may say greatest, co-op shooter that places you and three of your friends against massive hordes of the living dead.

World War Z has also apparently sold quite well, having sold over 1 million units in its first week of being on sale on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store (yep, it's an affiliate link). As such, you may expect that the game will be receiving some fresh content in the months ahead and you'd be correct....

Close to the Sun Brings Some Electrifying Horror to PC Today

Publisher Wired Productions and Italian development studio, Storm in a Teacup, have released Close to the Sun on the Epic Games Store. It will be coming later this year for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Close to the Sun is a first-person horror adventure with plenty of art deco design, a massive ship, and Nikola Tesla. As mentioned, it's available right now only on the Epic Games Store for $29.99 (USD). And no, it's not like BioShock. They want to make that very, very clear. It's just that they both have a whole lot of that art deco thing going on.

Having played this one for review, I will say that the review will be coming very shortly for Close to the Sun. The review codes were sent out only earlier this week and I really don't like to rush through games I play, especially for review. ...

New Earthworm Jim Game Announced Exclusively for Intellivision Amico

Where do I even begin with this one?

There once existed a game console called the Intellivision. It was released first in 1979 and ran through until about 1990. Its controller consisted of some side buttons, a disc-based d-pad, and a 12 digit keypad that accepted plastic overlays for every game so that you knew what the buttons did.

For whatever reason, Intellivision is coming back as Intellivision Amico. It's slated to be released in late 2020. It still features...
