SEC Now Investigating Activision Blizzard

Bobby Kotick has been subpoenaed.

The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has launched an investigation into Activision Blizzard. The government agency will be looking into how Activision Blizzard has handled, or mishandled, the numerous cases of sexual harassment, toxic workplace environments, abuse, and discrimination.

This comes after the state of California sued Activision Blizzard in July over the aforementioned allegations, and then later expanded...

Battlefield 2042 is Delayed

Looks like the rumors were true.

F's in the chat, boys. It looks like Battlefield 2042 has been delayed. Thankfully, the delay isn't as quite as long as some other titles that have recently been delayed.

Battlefield 2042 will now be released on November 19, 2021. The original release date was set for October 22, 2021. So, it's about a month delay. It's really not that bad in the grand scheme of things.

DICE and EA made the delay announcement just minutes ago...

Epic vs. Apple Verdict is a Huge Win for Apple

Epic really came away from this one empty-handed.

The judge in the Epic vs. Apple lawsuit has finally issued a ruling. Despite what a number of outlets seem to be saying, today's ruling really isn't a win for Epic Games. In fact, it's more of a win for Apple when you take everything into account.

In short, Epic lost on all but one count. Epic had wanted the judge to say that Apple was a monopoly, forcing it to lower its fees to below the industry standard 30% cut. Neither...

Tripwire President John Gibson Steps Down After Voicing Support of Texas Abortion Law

He fucked around and found out.

This weekend, the president and co-founder of Tripwire Interactive, John Gibson, made some rather idiotic remarks on Twitter. Gibson took to the social media platform to voice his support for the recent abortion ban in Texas, a ban that effectively takes away basic rights from women throughout the state. He also voiced his support for the Supreme Court of the United States for giving the go-ahead for that draconian ban to take place.

His...

CD Projekt Red Studio Head Responds to Mandatory Crunch Controversy

    Push them to the limit.

On September 29, it was revealed that CD Projekt Red was starting a mandatory 6-day work week ahead of the launch of Cyberpunk 2077. An email was sent to employees this week from studio head Adam Badowski saying that "the entire (development) studio is in overdrive."

This comes roughly one year after the heads...

New Units Revealed for Stronghold: Warlords

Four new units were just announced.

Firefly Studios just revealed new gameplay footage for Stronghold: Warlords. The trailer reveals four brand new units coming to their "castle sim RTS." Each unit has their own unique abilities, counters, and tactics.

The units include the Ninja, Warrior Monk, and mounted cavalry. By my count that is only three units. That's because the mounted cavalry is split between the Imperial Cavalry and the Auxiliary Cavalry. These all...
