Microsoft Increases Price of Xbox Live Gold to $60 for 6 Months

That's a 100% increase in some cases.

Microsoft has officially increased the price of Xbox Live Gold. It used to be that you could get an entire year of Gold for just $60 (USD). Now, you get just six months of Gold for $59.99. This makes a year of Xbox Live Gold as much as $120, or double what it used to be not that long ago.

Other price increases include the three-month plan for $29.99 (USD), and one-month is now $10.99. These price increases will impact new and lapsed...

The issue revolves around the companies "geo-blocking" various games.

The other publishers in question include Bandai Namco, Capcom, Focus Home Interactive, Koch Media, and ZeniMax. Valve's portion of the fine is merely €1.6 million while the rest of the €7.8 million is split up unevenly between the five publishers. The degree to which the...

YouTube to Get 60 FPS Option

YouTube will soon have the ability to display a higher framerate than most Xbox One games (ho ho, I WENT THERE!). They revealed earlier this evening that they will "soon" have 48 FPS and 60 FPS options for uploaders. They even went so far as to include a few sample videos that are apparently already running at 60 FPS. Unfortunately for everyone, it seems as though YouTube still insists at compressing the visual quality down just as much as before. So while the jump in framerate is certainly welc...

Maxis and EA have confirmed already that they are ripping out some features that have been a part of The Sims for quite some time from The Sims 4. These features include the "Toddler" life stage and swimming pools. No joke, these have been a part of the series since the first game.
"It's not possible for us to include every single feature and piece of content we added to The Sims 3 over the last five years," said Ryan Vaughan, a Maxis Producer.
Also of note is that teenagers will be the...

Valve Trying to Stop Steam Summer Adventure Collusion

These past few days, you may have seen some of the teams running away with an easy victory. Many speculated there was some event rigging going on either by the community, by Valve, or by both. It turns out that the rigging was all done on the community side and Valve is now working hard to combat the obvious rigging. Instead of jolly cooperation, Valve wants you to go for the throat.
