"Nanite" and "Lumen" are going to be the new buzzwords for the next few years. Those two terms were the highlight of today's reveal for the Unreal Engine 5. Just a Reminder that Elder Scrolls VI Details are Still Many Years Away

In case that wasn't obvious.

Bethesda's Pete Hines confirmed again this weekend that any details for The Elder Scrolls VI are still many years away. This was completely expected after Bethesda's first reveal from E3 2018 that said it was coming after Starfield. As Starfield is also still quite a ways away, this should come as no surprise to anybody.

Starfield itself was only briefly discussed back at E3 2018. We did not know much about the game then. In fact, we know about...

Disney Interactive Lays Off Around 700 Employees

About 700 employees, or 26% of its global staff, were laid off from Disney Interactive on Thursday. While layoffs were expected to happen, nobody expected the layoffs to be on this large of a scale.

The move came after Disney decided to combine two business, mobile gaming and social gaming. As a result of these layoffs and the changed focus, the company will "cut annual game output by as much as 50%." Last year, they released nearly two dozen titles.

On March 20, 2014 at 10AM, DirectX 12 will be revealed at GDC. There really isn't much to go on right now outside of a very green DirectX 12 landing page on the MSDN website. Interestingly, the notable logos on the page show the usual suspects of AMD, Nvidia, and even Intel. The real interesting one is Qualcomm Snapdragon, meaning that DirectX 12 might have a big focus on future mobile devices. It will be interesting to see if DirectX 12 requires all new hardware and/or a whole new oper...
