China Gives the Green Light to Sell 5 Million Xbox One Consoles

BesTV, Microsoft's business partner in China, revealed that the country has just approved the sale of 5 million Xbox One units. The system will go on sale on September 23 and will mark the first time in 13 years that a foreign game console will be legally sold in the region.
Although China often censors gaming content to weed out excessive violence, the approval of 5 million Xbox One units signals that the country’s government is still giving ample room for actual device sales.

The Witcher 3 Probably Won't be 1080p on Consoles

In an interview with CD Projekt RED's Visual Effect Artist, Jose Teixeira, it was revealed that the console versions of The Witcher 3 probably won't hit that coveted 1080p mark.
Ideally, we’re pushing for 30 frames per second. The resolution, honestly, it depends; we’re working on it, we’re trying to get it as high as possible. If we can make it at 1080P, sure, but I don’t know if it’s going to make it. To be honest, I really don’t know. Probably not. But for sure, we

The Behemoth is Working on a New Game with a Giant Bear

The Behemoth, known most recently for Battleblock Theater, just released a teaser trailer for their fourth game. It includes a giant bear that ruined a lot.

Shortly before the release of BattleBlock Theater we started working on something new. We schemed up a bunch of concepts and picked our strongest one. From there we fleshed out the lone survivor prototype!!! As it grew stronger and stronger, we polished it, furnished it with delights, and added (gluten free?) sprinkles.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 Leaked by Xbox

For a brief period, Xbox.com had the box art and a screenshot up for the completely unannounced Resident Evil: Revelations 2 or Biohazard: Revelations 2. Microsoft has since removed the art and screen but as this is the Internet, people managed to snag them before they were gone for good.

It was either done in error and there is no game, or we will see a new Resident Evil: Revelations 2 announcement coming soon. Maybe at PAX Prime? Maybe at Tokyo Game Show? ...

After Watch Dogs Ubisoft to Ditch Mature Games on Wii U

Believe it or not, Ubisoft is still gearing up to release Watch Dogs on the Wii U. Shocking, right? Something that probably isn't shocking is that after Watch Dogs is finally released on the Wii U, Ubisoft will no longer develop Mature rated games for the platform.

Ubisoft's CEO, Yves Guillemot, explains why.
"It's very simple. What we see is that Nintendo customers don't buy Assassin’s Creed. Last year, we sold in very small numbers. "What we see is that the
