Both Mojang and Microsoft have confirmed the news we all knew was coming. Microsoft has purchased Mojang and the Minecraft franchise for $2.5 billion (USD). That number is again, $2,500,000,000.

On Monday, it is expected that Microsoft will reveal that they have come to a $2.5 billion deal with Minecraft creator, Mojang. This is according to a new report from Reuters and a "source (that was) briefed on the matter."
