Valve has opened up an apparent one stop shop location for all things Steam Machines. Over at the Steam storefront, you can now take a look at the various offerings a variety of vendors have put together under the "Steam Machines" umbrella. A Short Video from Valve's Portal VR Demo
Maximum PC took some footage from a portion of Valve's talk on virtual reality. During the talk, they showed off a short "Aperture Science VR Demo." It's important to note here that while we believe this is running on Source 2 (the lighting could be a big sign of this), it was not specifically announced as running on Source 2.
Even if it wasn't Source 2, the fact that it's VIRTUAL REALITY should be awesome enough for anybody!... -

During a keynote today at GDC 2015, Microsoft provided a few details on DirectX 12, Windows 10, ID@Xbox, and more. First up, let's take a quick look at what Xbox One owners can expect from DirectX 12. According to Microsoft, DirectX 12 will add an addition 20% boost to the Xbox One GPU. That's certainly nothing to sneeze at though it still falls short of the performance of the PlayStation 4 GPU. Next up, Microsoft revealed that the ID@Xbox program is coming to Windows 10! ... -

Nvidia Announces the 12GB GeForce GTX Titan X GPU
Nvidia announced the GeForce GTX Titan X today, a new 12GB graphics card. The reveal happened during Epic's keynote this morning where Tim Sweeney, Weta Digital, Oculus, and others in the industry were showing off a demo of a new VR experience called Thief in the Shadows. Details were sparse about the GPU's capabilities. The only things that were really revealed by Nvidia's Jen-Hsun, were that the card has eight billion transistors and a 12GB framebuffer. A Look at Valve's New Steam Controller
The latest, and perhaps final look, for Valve's Steam Controller was shown off at GDC 2015 this week. Engadget managed to snag some hands-on time with it and offers up both impressions and screenshots.
I spent roughly 10 minutes with the final Steam Controller at GDC 2015, playing snippets of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, The Talos Principle and Unreal Tournament on various Steam Machines. The body of the controller is wonderful to hold. Two long, clickable pads running along the backside... -

Mike Ey, the 30 year old project designer behind Microsoft HoloLens was tragically killed this weekend in a hit and run accident.
Friends say Ey's professional passion was perfecting "HoloLens," Microsoft's new "augmented reality" tool in development that blends the digital world with the real world. The technology will eventually enable anyone to create and interact with three-dimensional holographic images in real space. "He said it was the coolest thing ever," Piering said. "It's... -

The PS4 console that comes with the bundle is colored the same way as Snake’s red prosthetic left arm (Bionic Arm). In addition, the golden connector part of the artificial arm has also been reimagined in meticulous detail, giving the console a sense of sturdiness. The DualShock 4 wireless... -

After wrapping up the first episode, I decided to take a look at the Raid Mode and some of the unlockables in Resident Evil: Revelations 2. This is what happened.
This mode is included with all copies of Revelations 2 and features both new maps and old favorites. It's honestly quite a bit of fun. I played it a couple of times more after recording this as well.... -
