Desert Bus for Hope 2019 Charity Event Underway

Better late than never.

We're just a few days late in sharing this news with you, but when it comes to charity: Better late than never, right?

The latest annual charity drive (get it?) that is Desert Bus for Hope is well underway. A group of people have already spent three days driving across the desert, in real time, in an effort to raise money for charity. In three days and 6 hours, the crew has already raised over $388,400 for the Child's Play charity. The team is still going strong after all this time.

For those that don't know,...

Google Stadia Launch Games are Lacking

Stadia comes out of the gate already limping.

With the soft launch of Google Stadia rapidly approaching, it seems like we're beyond due for a look at the platform's launch lineup. Hell, we're probably beyond due for a look at the Stadia UI and full featureset, but that is another matter entirely.

Today, Google revealed a list of 12 games that will serve as the launch titles for when Stadia has a soft launch on November 19. For $130, you were able to get in on the ground floor of the launch of Stadia with the Founder's Edition. These kits have...

EA Working on Cross-Save and Progression Sharing Between Steam and Origin

Seems EA is serious about this return to Steam.

With the recent announcement that EA was making a return to Steam, a number of questions remained unanswered. A couple of those questions focused on whether or not there would be support for things like cross-save or even cross-progression between EA's own Origin platform and Steam.

Fortunately, we have a few promising answers today. Most developers don't like to split their communities and EA is no exception. It seems they are working to get Origin to work similar to how Ubisoft's Uplay works with...

Diablo 4 is Always Online and Includes Microtransactions

This is the Diablo you pictured, right?

Yesterday, Blizzard took time away from appeasing China to kick off their two day BlizzCon event for 2019. One of yesterday's big reveals was the announcement that Diablo 4 is coming. What they didn't share in their reveal announcement to the public is the fact that Diablo 4 will require an online connection.

Not only that, but Diablo 4 will include microtransactions. Of course, all of this has a chance to change over the course of development, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. Speaking of development,...

Diablo 4 Officially Announced - First Details, Screens, and More

The franchise returns to its dark roots.

Another unsurprising reveal at this year's BlizzCon was the announcement of Diablo IV. The sequel to the colorful action-RPG that is Diablo III promises to tone back the color gamut a wee bit, with hopes of appeasing fans of Diablo II.

As with the other reveals made today, Diablo IV does not yet have a release date. However, we do know that it's in development for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. So far we know of three classes: Druid, Barbarian, and Sorceress. We also know that you will be traveling...

  • Rumor: Sony's E3 2014 Conference Details Leaked - Uncharted, Syphon Filter, The Last Guardian, Project Beast, and More

Today, Dualshockers received reports from two separate sources on what Sony may be showing off this year at E3 2014. As with all things related to unconfirmed reports from anonymous sources, be sure to take the following list with a huge grain of salt.

Dualshockers notes that the items listed below in bold were mentioned by both sources and may be more valid than those items not given the bold treatment.

The article continues on to mention that their source isn't 100% sure if Rockstar will actually be on stage or if Sony is simply goin...

  • Activision Spending $500 Million on Developing and Promoting Bungie's Destiny

According to a report from Reuters, Activision plans on spending a mere $500 million on developing and promoting Bungie's Destiny. That figure alone has the potential to break some industry records if everything pans out and goes anywhere near the $500 million figure that's being tossed around.

Naturally, this figure was revealed by everybody's favorite CEO, Bobby Kotick, during the Milken conference in Los Angeles this past week.
Investors hope that "Destiny," scheduled for release on September 9 from Bungie, the same studio that created

You can check out the full presentation for yourself right here. Most of it focuses on financials and probably won't be of much interest to you anyway....

There is absolutely no other information provided that could even hint at what these titles may be. Some speculate that at least one of them is a new Saints Row title. Others are keeping their fingers crossed for a new entry in the Red Faction franchise.

Valve Offering Refunds on Earth: Year 2066

Earth: Year 2066 was not a good game. Sure, it was still an Early Access release but it was disturbingly bad even for that stage of release. It didn't help that the developer constantly deleted threads and posts from the Steam Community section for the game.

Chris, an employee at Valve, stepped in today to announce that they are issuing refunds to those who purchased the game and have pulled the game from Early Access.
On Steam, developers make their own decisions about promotion, features, pricing and publication. However, Steam does require honesty

Harmonix Launches Kickstarter for PlayStation Exclusive Amplitude

Clocking in at a mere 18 days and a goal of $775,000, Harmonix has launched a Kickstarter campaign for Amplitude. Unlike most other successful Kickstarter campaigns, this is a Kickstarter only for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of the game. The original was published by Sony, so it probably stands to reason that they own the IP, hence why it's limited to just those two platforms. In the first few hours, the Kickstarter has already raised more than $107,000 towards their goal. It is a bit odd that Harmonix went to Kickstarter for this, especially after a num...

Oculus VR Responds to Claims Saying They Stole Technologies from ZeniMax
