G2A Offers to Pay Media Outlets to Run Pre-Written Defense Article

Add it to the list.

Third-party gray market key reseller, G2A, has been under increased fire the past week. Sure, it's had its fair share of accusations and criticisms slung its way over the years, but nothing quite like what we've seen in the past week. Today, an email sent from G2A to a handful of website owners, attempted to manipulate the public image of the company in an incredibly scummy way.

The email included a "transparent" and "unbiased" pre-written article about G2A that presented a warped spin on the truth about stolen game keys. The "truth"...

EDF! EDF! EDF!

The fifth mainline installment in the man vs. bugs saga known as Earth Defense Force was announced to be coming to the PC. Not only that, but Earth Defense Force 5 is coming to the PC this week on Thursday, July 11. That's a mere three days away from today! You can presently add it to your Wishlist on Steam if you want.

As usual, you will play as a member of the Earth Defense Force (EDF) as they battle giant ants, massive spiders, and all sorts of creepy crawlies. At your disposal will be a huge arsenal of weapons, vehicles, mechs, and customizable class...

Epic Promises to Cover Shenmue 3 Refunds for Problem They Created in the First Place

Then quickly announces this will happen again.

If you've been following the Shenmue 3 development saga for any length of time, you are probably well aware of a few things. First, you are probably well aware that the game pulled in over $6.3 million on Kickstarter alone. After the Kickstarter run ended, it used another service to keep collecting from fans that wanted to help fund the game. The total amount pledged rose to almost $7.2 million. Deep Silver was then selected as the game's publisher. However, it is not clear how much, if anything, they contributed as a publisher towards...

Game Breaking Battlefield V Bugs Still Not Fixed

No solid ETA on when they will be either.

If you have played Battlefield V from the beginning, you will probably agree that the game is fun but it's not without its flaws. In fact, it seems as though with every patch released for the game, there are almost as many new bugs added as there are ones that are squished in each patch.

The latest patch released for the game, which came about just last week, is no exception to that rule. First off, the beginning of Chapter 4 for Battlefield V's Tides of War multiplayer campaign was supposed to include the addition of a new map,...

Review: The Sinking City (PC)

That sinking feeling.

Frogware's The Sinking City is perhaps the best love letter to Lovecraft that we have seen in quite some time, but that may not be saying much. This most direct competition to The Sinking City was 2018's Call of Cthulhu, which really failed to capitalize on any single gameplay aspect. The Sinking City, on the other hand, at least manages to excel in one or two key areas, even if it barely stays afloat in others.

The city of Oakmont is the main location for The Sinking City. The first thing you see upon arrival is dreariness. Well, that and a dead...

  • Seth Rogan to Direct a Sony Film Based on the Nintendo and Sega Console Wars of the 90s

That headline is mind blowing. Funnyman Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg will write and direct a film based on the 1990s console wars between Sega and Nintendo.

Sony is the studio behind the film after having picked up the rights to Console Wars: Sega, Nintendo and the Battle That Defined a Generation which is written by Black Harris. The book apparently details the corporate battle that "helped turn video games into a massive industry." The book itself isn't even out yet.

Rogan and Goldberg previously worked together on Superbad, Pineapple Express, and This is the End. I really have no idea how this is going to turn out but that console war was incredible....

  • Divinity: Original Sin Pushed Back to Spring

Divinity: Original Sin Pushed Back to Spring

Originally slated for release on February 28, it seems as though Divinity: Original Sin is now targeting a "Spring 2014" release window.

The reveal came in a new trailer for the latest entry in the RPG series.

Divinity: Original Sin goes back to the values of memorable cRPGs: isometric, party-based, turn-based, gripping dialogues, choices and consequence, deep story, profound character and party development, a big interactive world filled with characters and items, free exploration... There is only one main goal, and how you get there is completely up to you. Of course, everything is more fun with a

  • Dean Hall to Leave Bohemia and DayZ After 2014

Dean Hall to Leave Bohemia and DayZ After 2014

Once 2015 rolls around, Dean Hall will no longer be with Bohemia or DayZ. The creator of the wildly successful mod turned stand-alone title says that he will stick with the studio until the end of the year, at which point he will leave to begin his own development studio.

Hall sat down with Eurogamer to detail his plans and what may become of DayZ, which is still an alpha release on Steam Early Access.
"Oh, it's set. Definitely," he nodded. But he won't leave DayZ in the lurch - won't leave at a crucial time. "I would extend my involvement here as long as Bohemia wanted - needed - me," he stressed. In other words, there's flexibility. "O

  • New Titanfall Xbox One Bundle Cleverly Disguises a $60 Price Reduction for the System

The Xbox One typically retails for $499 (USD). That price includes the system, Kinect, controller, and headset.

Today, Microsoft announced the special Titanfall Xbox One bundle. This bundle includes the Xbox One system, Kinect, controller, headset, a month of Xbox Live Gold, and a copy of Titanfall. The price? $499. Yes, you can look at this as the Xbox One receiving a price reduction of $60 or you can look at it like you're getting Titanfall for free. Keep in mind that however you look at it, the Xbox One came out just three months ago now in North America. Three months of early adopters missing out on a fr...

  • Oculus Rift to Temporarily Cease Production Due to Material Shortage

Oculus Rift to Temporarily Cease Production Due to Material Shortage

Oculus revealed that they will have to temporarily suspend production on the Oculus Rift developer kits due to certain components no longer being manufactured. Without parts, they can't make more Rifts. Seems simple enough.

A post on the Oculus section on Reddit outlines what is happening and the current shipping situations.
Certain components used in the Oculus Rift developer kit are no longer being manufactured, meaning they are no longer available to us for production. As a result, we don't have the necessary materials to produce additional kits. We still have some stock available, but we're quickly running out. We are looking into alternate sources for the needed components,

Hands-on with Go! Go! Nippon! ~My First Trip to Japan~

Let's visit Japan! It will be fun! It will be educational! There will be toilets! There will be dating! There will be WcDonalds! There will be nudity!

In all seriousness, this IS rather educational and informative if you can get past the unnecessary dating and romantic story stuff that has been mixed in. It's billed as a "guidebook in game format" and it can actually be quite enjoyable if you pay attention and aren't screwing around trying to create something for the sake of cheap entertainment like I did here.

Go! Go! Nippon! ~My First Trip to Japan~ is available now through Steam...

  • Gearbox Suing 3D Realms and Interceptor Over Unauthorized Use of Duke Nukem IP

Gearbox has filed a lawsuit against 3D Realms and Interceptor Entertainment over unauthorized use of the Duke Nukem IP. Gearbox picked up the rights to the Duke Nukem IP when 3D Realms sold it back in 2010. Allegedly, 3D Realms was quietly talking with developers and trying to make it seem like they never actually sold the IP.

    Ha ha, whoops!

So that Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction top-down action-RPG that surfaced a short while ago really isn't legally allowed to be made. There was even a countdown to some sort of reveal slated for February 25.

    Haha, whoops!

The full complaint lays it all out for you. If you...
