Tim Sweeney Called Valve 'Assholes' in Email to Gabe Newell, Valve COO Says 'You Mad Bro?'

Tim Sweeney is always mad.

The antitrust lawsuit against Valve from Wolfire Games got a little spicy this week. To quickly get you up to speed: Wolfire claims that Valve uses its position with Steam to control game prices and muscle out competition. Though the initial lawsuit against Valve was dismissed, Wolfire amended their suit in May 2022 and the legal battle was back on.

It may have taken almost two years, but we are now starting to see some of the documents that...

During today's pre-recorded podcast and subsequent blog post, head of Xbox Phil Spencer stated that four Xbox exclusives are going to be multi-platform releases. Is it Starfield? Indiana Jones? Gears of War? Halo?! No, no, no, and no. Though Spencer did not specify what those four titles ...

GTA Surpasses Skyrim for the Most Players in Game at the Same Time on Steam

It's not quite official yet, but the PC release of Grand Theft Auto V has sold really, really well. Some estimates already have GTA V sitting at over 1.1 million copies sold just on the PC, which isn't too shabby at all.

It should be no wonder then that the game has surpassed The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim as the most concurrently played title on Steam for non-Valve titles. Back in 2011, Skyrim topped off at 280,000 people playing at the same time. Today, Grand Theft Auto V pulled...

Still don't have a good idea of what to expect? Kinda Funny Games shows off quite a bit more gameplay and how the crowd and bandmates will react to your performance.

Op-Ed: The PC Release of Mortal Kombat X Seems Silly and Dumb

To put it mildly, the PC release of Mortal Kombat X seems to be a bit of a clusterfuck. I "preloaded" the game last night and was surprised to see that it was only a bit over 3GB in size. "Huh, that's weird," I thought. I shrugged it off and instead proceeded to play the PC release of Grand Theft Auto V instead. Now, despite there being a few minor issues (unless you had certain 9xx series Nvidia cards), the PC launch of GTAV went really, really smoothly. This is especially in comparison ...

Mortal Kombat X Includes Microtransactions to Allow for Easier Fatalities

In a move that is right up there with selling horse armor, Netherrealm and WBIE have decided to include some less than savory optional microtransactions in Mortal Kombat X. Those who have purchased the game on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 may have already discovered that you can pay to have the ability to more easily pull off Fatalities. That's right, pay even more money (on top of the price of the game and optional Season Pass) just to earn the the ability off Fatalities more easily...

Destiny: House of Wolves Will Not Feature a New Raid

Despite the raids being one of the major pulls for players to constantly return to Destiny, Bungie has revealed today that the House of Wolves expansion will not feature a new raid. Instead, the company will offer a 3-player battle arena mode called "Prison of Elders." That's right, Bungie is not going to offer one of their strongest game features (raids) and is replacing it instead with something that either sounds like another PvP mode or, dare I say it, a horde based mode. Yup. Good call ...

Activision Teasing a new Game, It's Probably Guitar Hero

Activision released a new teaser trailer today. It features a band, guitars, musical instruments, and all things associated with a rock concert. So unless they're bringing back a weirdly re-imagined Crash Bandicoot or Spyro the Dragon, this is probably a teaser for a new Guitar Hero game.

I mean, a new Rock Band was already announced, so why shouldn't they also jump back onto the bandwagon? Though some sources say they've actually been working on this since 2013....

    by Shawn Zipay
    It's AAAA vs WB.

March isn't even over yet and we've already seen a couple of stinkers come out from major gaming studios. While we tend to focus on the surprise hits or quality titles in these polls, this time it's a little bit different.

Between the Rocksteady developed live-service Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and the "AAAA" quality Ubisoft developed Skull and Bones: Which is the bigger disappointment for you?
