Rockstar Now Has Their Own PC Games Launcher

Get GTA: San Andreas for free if you use it.

Rockstar now has their own game launcher on the PC. The development studio quietly released this new launcher a short time ago today. They are attempting to entice users to download and use the installer by giving away a free copy of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for a limited time.

Interesting enough, the Rockstar Games Launcher includes some features that took other launchers a little bit of time to add after release. This launcher includes cloud save support, a shop, and automatic updates. The prices on the store seem to...

Watch Almost an Hour of Death Stranding Gameplay

A lot of gameplay footage that may finally provide a lot of answers.

The marketing for the Kojima Productions game, Death Stranding, has left consumers with more questions than answers. It's a game from the mind of Hideo Kojima, so of course the marketing was going to be odd. The problem was, there are a lot of people that just have no idea about what the game was even about even after the numerous trailers.

Maybe sitting down and watching 50 minutes of gameplay will help clear up that confusion. If that doesn't work, then maybe a breakdown of the gameplay footage from...

Final Fantasy VII Remake Tokyo Game Show 2019 Trailer

The trailer is at the bottom after these boring words.

Square Enix showed off an all new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake this week at the Tokyo Game Show. The new trailer offers a fresh look at gameplay, the slums of Midgar, and a peak at the mini-games and summons. Midgar is home to the Shinra Electric Power Company. This kind of totally evil company is in conflict with Avalanche, a resistance group fighting to keep their planet alive. You will also get your first look at some of the Shinra operatives known as The Turks.

Square Enix also included their new artwork...

Cube World is Coming to Steam

Let me take you back to the year 2013...

In 2013, a little game called Cube World came out in an "alpha" release. It was a cute, stylized adventure-RPG that offered a ton of freedom, battles, exploration, and more. A big appeal of the alpha was being able to have all of these adventures with your friends in one world. To its credit, the limited content of the alpha was quite enjoyable but the promise of bigger and better was always just around the corner. The problem came when it was just never updated! Eventually the developer went dark.

We would sometimes...

Assault Android Cactus Hits Nintendo Switch March 8

The colorful twin-stick shooter, Assault Android Cactus, is hitting the Nintendo Switch on March 8. You may recall seeing our review for it when it originally released on the PS4 in 2016 where we found it to be a largely enjoyable game. It also came out for PC in 2015 and Xbox One in 2017.

The Switch release will include Campaign+, which reimagines the original 25 stages with new enemy waves, dynamic transformations, and "more intense boss fights that provide a tough twist for even the most seasoned Cactus veterans." The team says that the Switch release still runs...

Time. To. Hack. That is precisely what you'll be doing come February 27 when Tech Support: Error Unknown releases on the PC, Mac, and Linux via Steam and other major retailers.

The game begins with you taking up a position of a new member of the IT department for Quasar Telecommunications. This company is a "multinational-juggernaut of a corporation." As the game isn't a simulator, this isn't where the story ends. Instead, players will soon find out that something is afoot at Quasar. Soon, you're knee-deep in a cyber tug-of-war between Quasar and the Tech Support...

    Darkest Dungeon 2 Announced

Darkest Dungeon 2 was officially announced today. The reveal came not from a press release or just a teaser trailer, but rather in an exclusive interview between PC Gamer and developer Red Hook Studios. The original game, a turn-based roguelike that picked up quite the fanbase, was originally released back in 2016.

Despite this unique reveal avenue, Red Hook didn't say too much about the new game. Some of the details pulled from the interview can be found below.

  • Dwarf Slayer Character Reveal for Warhammer: Chaosbane

Dwarf Slayer Character Reveal for Warhammer: Chaosbane

The first of four playable characters was given a reveal trailer today for Warhammer: Chaosbane. The character is a dwarf and they are a Slayer. I wanted to clear that up because the headline reads that the character is a slayer of dwarfs and that's just not right.

Their name is Bragi Axebiter and they have taken up the oath of the Slayer. Having taken up this oath, he vows to cleanse his honor by dying in combat against a formidable adversary. Warhammer: Chaosbane is slated to be released on the PS4, XB1, and PC starting June 4. Those who get the more expensive Magnus Edition...

The Warclaw Mount Revealed for Guild Wars 2

The Warclaw is a new and somewhat fearsome feline mount for Guild Wars 2. Slated to arrive on February 26, this mount is obtainable via the World vs. World PvP mode. However, once you earn it, you can summon it anywhere and everywhere that other mounts are able to be summoned.

The Warclaw has some special abilities including Evade, Battle Maul, and Chain Pull. These can prove to be quite useful in a variety of World vs. World scenarios. It will be made available to everyone that owns Path of Fire. And if you don't yet own Path of Fire, you should check out our review to see...

  • Epic Games Suing Fortnite Live Event Organizers

Epic Games Suing Fortnite Live Event Organizers

This past weekend, a little Fortnite themed event was held in Norwich. The event, called Fortnite Live, charged event-goers around $20 (USD) to enter the event that included a whopping four go-karts, a climbing wall, and areas to play Fortnite.

From multiple accounts, the event was a rather large disaster. The various activities were severely lacking. People had to wait in line in the cold just to get in. In total, around 2,800 people attended the event in which they were mainly charged a lofty fee just to play Fortnite, a free-to-play game. Shortly after the end of the event,...

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ardyn DLC Teased via the Power of Anime

Square Enix is using anime to tease the upcoming Final Fantasy XV DLC "Episode Ardyn." Oh, by the way, Square Enix is also announcing today that Episode Ardyn will be out on March 26, 2019.

Before that, though, it's all about Final Fantasy XV Episode Ardyn - Prologue, an anime short that serves as a prequel to the upcoming DLC. The DLC itself is an all-new storyline that places you in the shoes of Ardyn Lucis Caelum. The content is set 35 years prior to the events of Final Fantasy XV and takes players from Ardyn's imprisonment, the world of darkness, an on to a path...

  • The Power of Loot Boxes in Games

The Power of Loot Boxes in Games

Is it gambling like UK online casinos or is it gaming? Loot boxes have been used by developers for the last few years and are subject to many debates. There are some who think that this system allows games to be free, and there are some who claim, they make players accustomed to gambling. In any case, it seems we can continue to discuss loot boxes for a long while. In this article, we will take a close look at the topic and talk about how this mechanics affects games and players.

For example, an ad of NetEnt casino would be telling you about the advantages of NetEnt slots. What Are Loot Boxes?First, we need to explain what the loot boxes are. We can simply define them as digital boxes that are sold with real money in the in-game stores and contain virtual items. They have been used for quite a long time, but they became popular because of the Overwatch, developed by Blizzard. Overwatch is a buy-to-play game, but it has also loot boxes that can be pu...

  • Day One Patch Notes for Anthem Released

Day One Patch Notes for Anthem Released

The "day one patch" for Anthem has just been detailed by BioWare and EA. This is the update that will be required for players to download prior to hopping into Anthem on February 22. As far as I can see, this update has not yet been released to those playing on either EA Access or Origin Access.

The update contains a decent list of fixes and quality of life improvements. Notably, it addresses the overly long loading times that many players have been very vocally complaining about. It also helps to address infinite loading screen issues, crash bugs, and more.

The full list of changes can be found below. ...
