Sony Delays PlayStation 5 Event Due to Protests

PlayStation 5 games will have to wait a big longer.

Sony has just announced that they are postponing the PlayStation 5 event that was scheduled for June 4. The event has been postponed for obvious reasons. Those reasons, for those unaware, are the numerous ever ongoing protests against racism and cops that believe they have a license to kill.

These protests started following the murder of George Floyd by four police officers in Minnesota. However, that event was merely...

The David Cage Trilogy Coming to Steam on June 18

A full script may or may not be included.

On June 18, Quantic Dream says that they will release not one, not even two, but three titles on Steam. These three titles were out first on PlayStation hardware, with a PC release hitting last Summer on the Epic Games Store. It seems as though a year has passed, as these things tend to do, and as such it's time for Steam to have its moment to shine.

On June 18, we will see Detroit: Become Human, Beyond: Two Souls, and Heavy R...

Unreal Engine 5 Announced for Next-gen Platforms

Don't expect any games any time soon though.

"Nanite" and "Lumen" are going to be the new buzzwords for the next few years. Those two terms were the highlight of today's reveal for the Unreal Engine 5. The engine, still very early in development at Epic, won't be released to the public until late 2021. An early preview will be made available to some in early 2021. This engine is being built to support current-generation consoles, next-generation consoles, PC, Mac,...

Get those wallets ready.

A time honored consumer tradition is waiting until the right moment to spend a lot of money on items they wanted but did not want to pay full price for. An equally time honored tradition, at least among PC gamers is having the dates of the Steam Summer Sale leaked well ahead of time.

In fact, those dates are usually leaked right around this time of the year. In fact, 2019's dates were leaked almost exactly a year ago, with a difference of just...

Overwatch Announced by Blizzard, New Competitive FPS

Blizzard has just announced a new entry into the competitive FPS field. They're calling it Overwatch and it will be a team focused FPS with an emphasis on capturing control points.

The hook? It pits superheroes against supervillains. The game has a decidedly Team Fortress 2-esque approach to style and presentation. The characters are also quite varied including a robot that can turn itself into a turret, a gunslinger that can dual-wield weapons, a wall climbing ape, and...

Tony Hawk is Working with Activision on a New Console Game

Tony Hawk, yes that one, says that he is working with Activision on a new console game that will be out in 2015.

Is this the rebirth of Tony Hawk Pro Skater for a new generation of consoles? Maybe. Then again it could also just as easily be some stupid as hell sequel for the Tony Hawk: Ride series. Just give me a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Tony Hawk game with controller support, no gimmicky stuff, and a soundtrack that is literally straight out of the 90's and you will...

  • Ubisoft Games Disappearing from Steam - Far Cry 4, Assassin's Creed Unity, and The Crew All Gone

Throughout the day, users noticed that many new and upcoming Ubisoft titles started to disappear from Steam. The disappearance started in the UK but has since spread to other regions throughout the world.

Games like Assassin's Creed Unity, The Crew, and Far Cry 4 no longer have store entries on Steam. Right now, nobody seems to know if this is being done intentionally by Ubisoft or if it's an issue just with Steam. A look at SteamDB shows a rather interesting back and forth with...

See Battlefield 4 Running on iOS

A pet project of the Frostbite team has resulted in Battlefield 4 running on iOS.

It has been quite a challenge. To handle dynamic features such as destruction or moving light sources, most things in the Frostbite engine happen in realtime. This puts extra demand on performance to be able to deliver large, highly detailed worlds with superb visual quality. We were making great progress feature-wise, but hardware and software limitations forced us to either scale down the number
