Recent PS4 SDK Update Unlocked Additional CPU Core for Gaming

Up until a recent SDK update for the PlayStation 4, the team at Sony decided that the system needed at least two CPU cores to run the operating system and other associated tasks. Well, that was changed a few weeks back when an SDK update for the platform rolled out where Sony unlocked a seventh core that could be used for gaming purposes. Yes, Sony removed a dedicated operating system core and is allowing developers to make use of it for whatever they need it for in their games. The news "...

Valve Introduces Three Day Hold on Trade Items for Non-Authenticator Users

Valve is introducing a three day hold on all trades between people that do not have their Steam accounts secured with the Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator. Valve recently tossed up a new Support page that details how you can prevent the 72-hour hold on all trades. It's actually quite simple.
    What is a trade hold?
A trade hold is a period of time where the items traded are held by Steam before they are delivered.

Why are trade holds necessary? Trade holds protect your

Where are the Reviews for the Steam Controller and Steam Link?

Hello denizens of Total Gaming Network! I feel as though I owe some sort of an explanation here as to where the promised reviews are for the Steam Controller and Steam Link.

Part of it is because I am hitting some terrible mental blockades that have really put a damper on creating anything cohesive as far as reviews go. It started with the Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns review and it has not let up since then. I'm not sure why I've been hit with such a terrible bout of writer's...

  • 10 Awards and 10 World Premiere Trailers for The Game Awards 2015

10 Awards and 10 World Premiere Trailers for The Game Awards 2015

Geoff Keighley mentioned this morning that there will be 10 "world premiere" trailers shown off at The Game Awards 2015. These don't really mean 10 new games, but rather 10 new trailers for games that may or may not already be announced. These go alongside the 10 on-stage awards that will be given out.

There are 22 award categories this year, meaning that less than 50% of the actual awards will be given any on-stage time at The Game Awards. But hey, at least you'll get that...

PSA: The Steam Fall Sale - Exploration Sale - is on Now

Valve kicked off the Fall 2015 sale for Steam earlier today. They're calling it the "Exploration Sale" and includes nearly 8,800 games on sale throughout the service. Gone are the daily deals and gone are the rotating community voted sales. What you see is what you get for this one. There is literally no reason to wait if you see a game on sale that you want to buy since it won't be going any cheaper during the sale period. Valve will cycle in new games on the main page but again, these...

    by Shawn Zipay
    It's AAAA vs WB.

March isn't even over yet and we've already seen a couple of stinkers come out from major gaming studios. While we tend to focus on the surprise hits or quality titles in these polls, this time it's a little bit different.

Between the Rocksteady developed live-service Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and the "AAAA" quality Ubisoft developed Skull and Bones: Which is the bigger disappointment for you?
