Ubisoft Pulls Licenses for The Crew, Makes the Game Completely Inaccessible to Buyers

From the same company trying to sell you a $130 version of Star Wars Outlaws.

From announcing a $130 edition of Star Wars Outlaws to pulling game licenses from those that bought The Crew, Ubisoft sure is on a roll this week.

The antitrust lawsuit against Valve from Wolfire Games got a little spicy this week. Multiple studios across all SIE regions impacted.

Sony just laid off about 900 people across multiple PlayStation studios around the world. These 900 or so laid off employees account for roughly 8% of the total workforce for Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Embracer Lays Off 97 Employees from Eidos; Cancels New Deus Ex

Embracer's rampage continues.

Eidos-Montreal, a development studio currently under the Embracer umbrella, made the sad announcement that employees at the studio were being laid off. Eidos took to social media to confirm that 97 people have been let go "from development teams, administration, and support services".

    Uncharted 4: A Thief's End was originally slated to be released on March 18, 2016. The news came about today that the game will instead be delayed a month and is now coming out on April 26, 2016.

    Triad Wars Beta Closing Down in January

    On January 20, 2016, Triad Wars will officially close up shop. Specifically, the beta for the game will come to an end. There game will not actually be released. What was Triad Wars? It was a weird online game that tasked you with trying to build up your own empire while attacking others in the same city area. It was like Sleeping Dogs but if Sleeping Dogs was a bad game.

    The Crossfire multiplayer map from the crazy days of Half-Life Deathmatch has been rebuilt and added to Black Mesa. Today's udpate not only introduces the fan-favorite multiplayer map but it also adds in God rays, new animations, Steam Controller support, and much more.

    Awakening DLC for Black Ops 3 - Five New Maps, Not Coming to Old Consoles

    The "Awakening" DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was revealed this week for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. This content is apparently not coming out on the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. It should also be noted that this content will be out first on the Xbo PlayStation 4 on February 2.

    The map pack includes four new competitive multiplayer maps and one new Zombies map.

    Project Dream was an unreleased game from Rare. It was a game that was scrapped and redeveloped as Banjo-Kazooie. Footage from Project Dream was never made public in the past two decades.
