Call of Duty Shakeup - Call of Duty 2020 is Another Black Ops and Is Modern Warfare 4 Going Free-to-Play?

Reports include talk of arguments between Sledgehammer and Raven.

There are reported some massive changes happening behind the scenes of the Call of Duty franchise. According to a new report from Jason Schreier of Kotaku, Call of Duty 2020 is no longer being developed by Sledgehammer and Raven. It will instead be handled by Treyarch and it will be another entry in the Black Ops saga.

This is the first major change in the development cycle of the Call of Duty franchise since 2012. Since then, the Call of Duty games have cycled between three lead studios. Those studios...

Bungie Brings Back the Nerf Gun on Fan-Favorite Destiny 2 Weapons

Old Bungie is back.

Around the release of the Curse of Osiris update for Destiny 2, Bungie had vowed to take a drastically different approach to how they handle community favored weapons in the game. Old Bungie would have nerfed those weapons into the ground without a second thought.

But new Bungie? New Bungie said that they wanted to instead buff up other weapons to make them more attractive choices. This was a part of their "Go Fast Update" initiative. Specifically, here is what they said in all capital letters for some weird reason (via Game Rant).

Review: A Plague Tale: Innocence (PC)

Incredible from start to finish.

Every once in a while there comes a new game release that defies all expectations. A Plague Tale: Innocence is one such game. Thanks to a delicate balance of satisfying gameplay and an engaging story, A Plague Tale will sink its hooks into you right from its opening chapters. Though there are a couple of small missteps along the way, the journey you share with siblings Amicia and Hugo is one you really don't want to miss.

There are many more review "buzz words" I could use to describe A Plague Tale, but I will spare you from...

Cliff Bleszinski took to Reddit yesterday to answer some questions on his new company, Boss Key Productions, and his new game, currently codenamed BlueStreak. Some of the topics hit upon were whether or not the game would be pay-to-win, how it would handle microtransactions, why he went with Nexon as the publisher and much more.

Here are just a few snippets.
Microtransaction plans? "The #1 question that comes up in Free to Play every time. Honest answer: I'm not sure, and it's entirely too easy to tell or make the call. Free to Play is one of those genres that means something entirely different depending on the game. For every model that feels like Las Vegas methods (Zynga, Candy Crush) there's fo

Microsoft New CEO is Committed to the Xbox

Satya Nadella, the latest CEO at Microsoft has announced that he is committed to the Xbox and the Xbox brand at the company. His faith in the brand was expressed in a memo sent to all Microsoft employees.
I also want to share some additional thoughts on Xbox and its importance to Microsoft. As a large company, I think it's critical to define the core, but it's important to make smart choices on other businesses in which we can have fundamental impact and success. The single biggest digital life category, measured in both time and money spent, in a mobile-first world is gaming. We are fortunate to have

  • Among the Sleep Review

    Among the Sleep Review

It's not that easy being a toddler. It's difficult to understand what people are saying to you. You are unable to reach most things higher than a few feet above you. You walk as though you are drunk all the time. You see shadows and imagine them to be big, scary monsters. Your favorite stuffed animal just starts talking to you like it's nothing out of the ordinary. Really, it's a rather difficult time in your life!

Krillbite Studio took this idea and ran with it for Among the Sleep. You are placed into the padded PJ's of a toddler. Your reach is short, your speed is slow, but your imagination is at an all time high. The basic idea behind the game is that it's supposed to be a first-person horror adventure. You, as the toddler, wake up in the middle...
