G2A Offers to Pay Media Outlets to Run Pre-Written Defense Article

Add it to the list.

Third-party gray market key reseller, G2A, has been under increased fire the past week. Sure, it's had its fair share of accusations and criticisms slung its way over the years, but nothing quite like what we've seen in the past week. Today, an email sent from G2A to a handful of website owners, attempted to manipulate the public image of the company in an incredibly scummy way.

The email included a "transparent" and "unbiased" pre-written article about G2A that presented a warped spin on the truth about stolen game keys. The "truth"...

Epic Promises to Cover Shenmue 3 Refunds for Problem They Created in the First Place

Then quickly announces this will happen again.

If you've been following the Shenmue 3 development saga for any length of time, you are probably well aware of a few things. First, you are probably well aware that the game pulled in over $6.3 million on Kickstarter alone. After the Kickstarter run ended, it used another service to keep collecting from fans that wanted to help fund the game. The total amount pledged rose to almost $7.2 million. Deep Silver was then selected as the game's publisher. However, it is not clear how much, if anything, they contributed as a publisher towards...

Game Breaking Battlefield V Bugs Still Not Fixed

No solid ETA on when they will be either.

If you have played Battlefield V from the beginning, you will probably agree that the game is fun but it's not without its flaws. In fact, it seems as though with every patch released for the game, there are almost as many new bugs added as there are ones that are squished in each patch.

The latest patch released for the game, which came about just last week, is no exception to that rule. First off, the beginning of Chapter 4 for Battlefield V's Tides of War multiplayer campaign was supposed to include the addition of a new map,...

Review: The Sinking City (PC)

That sinking feeling.

Frogware's The Sinking City is perhaps the best love letter to Lovecraft that we have seen in quite some time, but that may not be saying much. This most direct competition to The Sinking City was 2018's Call of Cthulhu, which really failed to capitalize on any single gameplay aspect. The Sinking City, on the other hand, at least manages to excel in one or two key areas, even if it barely stays afloat in others.

The city of Oakmont is the main location for The Sinking City. The first thing you see upon arrival is dreariness. Well, that and a dead...

  • Sony is Being Sued Over Killzone: Shadow Fall's Graphics

Sony is Being Sued Over Killzone: Shadow Fall's Graphics

Sony is being hit with a lawsuit for "deceptive marketing" of Killzone: Shadow Fall because the game's multiplayer mode isn't a "true" 1080p resolution. Douglas Ladore from California, filed the suit in the Northern District California court. He says that Sony advertised that the game runs at a native 1080p resolution but it "used a technological shortcut that was supposed to provide 'subjectively similar' results." See, what Killzone does for the multiplayer component is render each frame at 960 by 1080 resolution with a "temporal upscale." On the next frame, the lines that were "blank" in the previous frame are rendered, also at 960 by 1080. So it's still technically rendering at 1920x1080, just not all in the same frame. The lawsuit says that Sony falsely advertised...

World of Warcraft Subscriptions Down to Just 6.8 Million People

It's the end of the World... of Warcraft! Well, maybe not, but the long standing MMO staple is now down to just 6.8 million subscribers.
"As of June 30, 2014, Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft remains the #1 Subscription based MMORPG, With approximately 6.8 Million subscribers. There was a decline in subscribers quarter over quarter, which was disproportionately concentrated in the East and was similar to the seasonal decline experienced during the second quarter of 2012, prior to the launch of the most recent expansion later that year."

PlanetSide 2 Update Consolidates Resources on Vehicles and More

Today's massive update to PlanetSide 2 enacts a ton of changes to the game, mainly for the better. The biggest change is the consolidation of resources for spawning and acquiring vehicles. Yes, the redundant resources are now gone thanks to today's update!

In addition, the update also adds in a new prestige/achievement system to the game called Directives.
The PlanetSide 2 Directives system includes:
    - Showcase Your Honors - Build up your Directive Score and show off your prowess with others!
    - Ramp Up Stats - Earn points with each Directive Tier completion (5 per Directive Tree)
    - Build Your Arsenal - Obtain exclusive Auraxium prestige weapons and appearance items upon each Directive Tree completion
    - Choose Your Direction - Directives reinforce all roles available in game; from aircraft to tanks to grunts to generals, there are options for every soldier!

The big list of changes included in this update are listed below. The update is a couple of GB in size, so you may as well start downloading it now while you read through he changes.
    New Ribbons
    - Kill Streak: Earning a kill streak bonus awards credit towards this ribbon.
    - Logistics: Awarded by Sunderers equipped with resupply or repair modules when they give repairs and resupplies to other vehicles. Amount required is comparable to the Resupply Ribbon. Players must be in the Sunderer for this ribbon to be credited.
    - Resupply Ribbon (updated): Resupplies by Sunderer will no longer count towards the Resupply ribbon; it is now exclusively from Engineer ammunition resupplies.

    Faction Pistols
    - VS Spiker: Reverse-engineered from ancient Vanu tech, the Spiker's hovering powercore allows the standard 2x burst to be held and charged into an accurate 6-round salvo.
    - NC NC08 Mag-Scatter: The NC08 Mag-Scatter's powerful tungsten buckshot and compact frame make it an excellent close-range sidearm that can quickly dispatch nearby targets.
    - TR T4 AMP: The Terran Republic's Automatic Machine Pistol functions similarly to an SMG thanks to its lightning-fast, fully automatic fire.

Resource Consolidation The three resource types have been consolidated down to one; Nanites. The old resource system was a com
