Review: A Plague Tale: Innocence (PC)

Incredible from start to finish.

Every once in a while there comes a new game release that defies all expectations. A Plague Tale: Innocence is one such game. Thanks to a delicate balance of satisfying gameplay and an engaging story, A Plague Tale will sink its hooks into you right from its opening chapters. Though there are a couple of small missteps along the way, the journey you share with siblings Amicia and Hugo is one you really don't want to miss.

There are many more review "buzz words" I could use to describe A Plague Tale, but I will spare you from...

  • BioWare Teases New Project with Super Ominous Email - Possibly Shadow Realms

Earlier today, I received an email from BioWare saying "You've Been Chosen." I ignored it for a bit since it was sent at almost 5AM and I continued to happily sleep a bit more. I finally get around to watching the trailer linked within and suddenly I'm hit with crazy, creepy visuals that are advertising something new from BioWare.

The "Nightmare" trailer above comes with the following lines:
Presumably, BioWare will be making an announcement on this game at GamesCom, which runs from the 13-17 in August. Unfortunat...

Photo Mode in The Last of Us Remastered Sure Does Look Pretty

Arne Meyer works at Naughty Dog. He also posts on NeoGAF. A recent post of his at NeoGAF contains an image that Neil Druckman took using the photo mode within The Last of Us Remastered.
So Neil came by my desk earlier to talk about something and I had photo mode up and he started playing around with it. I left, came back a while better and he left this beauty up on the screen.

So here you go... a photo mode screenshot personally composed by Neil.

    That sure does look nice....

[indent]Where are all these credits coming from? You'll earn them by winning or completing matches, completing the forthcoming daily challenges, discarding and selling burn cards, and for winning the first victory of...

A First Look at the Live-Action Digital Series Halo: Nightfall

Earlier today at the San Diego Comic-Con, 343 Industries and Microsoft showed off some of the first ever looks at Ridley Scott's upcoming live-action digital series, Halo: Nightfall. Nightfall takes place between the events of Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians. It centers around "legendary manhunter" Jameson Locke and his team "as they are caught in a horrific terrorist attack while investigating terrorist activity on the distant colony world of Sedra."
Led by Locke, the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) agents are forced to coordinate with a Sedran commander with a remarkable history and deep-rooted mistrust of ONI. As the plot

Halo: Nightfall's Agent Locke is Playable in Halo 5: Guardians

Agent Locke, one of the starts in Ridley Scott's Halo: Nightfall live-action series, will be a playable character in Halo 5: Guardians. This was revealed earlier today by 343 Industries during the San Diego Comic-Con.

Nightfall serves as the origin story for Agent Locke. The story is set on one of the broken pieces of Halo from the first game and it tells the story of how he grew up into a Spartan. 343 describes his story as a "superhero origin story." The story of Nightfall is far more tied into Guardians than Forward Unto Dawn was with Halo 4. Locke is played by Mike Colter in the live-action series. He...
