Call of Duty Shakeup - Call of Duty 2020 is Another Black Ops and Is Modern Warfare 4 Going Free-to-Play?

Reports include talk of arguments between Sledgehammer and Raven.

There are reported some massive changes happening behind the scenes of the Call of Duty franchise. According to a new report from Jason Schreier of Kotaku, Call of Duty 2020 is no longer being developed by Sledgehammer and Raven. It will instead be handled by Treyarch and it will be another entry in the Black Ops saga.

This is the first major change in the development cycle of the Call of Duty franchise since 2012. Since then, the Call of Duty games have cycled between three lead studios. Those studios...

Bungie Brings Back the Nerf Gun on Fan-Favorite Destiny 2 Weapons

Old Bungie is back.

Around the release of the Curse of Osiris update for Destiny 2, Bungie had vowed to take a drastically different approach to how they handle community favored weapons in the game. Old Bungie would have nerfed those weapons into the ground without a second thought.

But new Bungie? New Bungie said that they wanted to instead buff up other weapons to make them more attractive choices. This was a part of their "Go Fast Update" initiative. Specifically, here is what they said in all capital letters for some weird reason (via Game Rant).

Sale includes free games every week and pre-order discounts.

The Epic Games Store just kicked off its own multi-week long sale today. This sale finds discounts of up to 75% off of some titles. It also includes discounts on pre-orders for games like John Wick Hex, Borderlands 3, or Control. Just to name a few.

The way this sale works is this: Some games that are already out are on sale for up to 75% off. Other games that don't have a percentage off will be at least $10 off if their regular price is $14.99 and higher. On top of this, there will be a free game given out...

Review: A Plague Tale: Innocence (PC)

Incredible from start to finish.

Every once in a while there comes a new game release that defies all expectations. A Plague Tale: Innocence is one such game. Thanks to a delicate balance of satisfying gameplay and an engaging story, A Plague Tale will sink its hooks into you right from its opening chapters. Though there are a couple of small missteps along the way, the journey you share with siblings Amicia and Hugo is one you really don't want to miss.

There are many more review "buzz words" I could use to describe A Plague Tale, but I will spare you from...

Just watch it.

A new teaser trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake was finally shown off today. It's the first one shown off in, I think, over a year. It's not much but maybe it'll be enough until we hear and see more this June. ...

  • Rust is Still in Development Despite One Guy at Facepunch Working on a Prototype Game

Gaming communities can be full of idiots. I'm not going to sugar coat that fact. The latest to suffer from such a community is Facepunch Studios. Recently, one of the employees, Adam Woolridge, revealed a prototype game, Riftlight, that he alone is working on. Suddenly, the Rust community loses their collective minds and begin to pick up pitchforks against Facepunch for not delivering a finished product in Rust.

They are upset that Rust development is somehow taking a back seat now. They make accusations that Rust is now cancelled because of the reveal of this prototype being developed by just one employee. They go on and on about how Early Access screws over...

Digital Foundry Examines The Last of Us Remastered and Framerate

The latest "Digital Foundry vs." feature takes a hard look at The Last of Us Remastered. One of the big promises for the release is that the game will have an unlocked framerate that will hit the sweet 60fps. Just how often does it hit that magical number, though?
To answer the question everyone's been asking, frame-rate isn't locked to 60fps, but The Last of Us Remastered does spend the vast majority of its time at the optimal refresh. Problems can kick in during busy combat scenes, and just like the PS3 version, particles and transparent effects in particular can take their toll - the first confrontation with a fungus-spewing Bloater sees frame-rate hit

Another Look at The Crew PC Beta - City Hopping and Missions

In this second part of the "look at" the PC beta for Ubisoft's open world racing game, The Crew, I hop to a few different cities and show you how missions are structured. In addition, I also share just how wonderful the mic quality is thanks to everyone having always open mics! From the looks of it, the closed beta period for The Crew on PC has come to a close. As such, there will be no more preview videos of the game from me. There probably wouldn't be any more videos from me anyway, largely because I just wasn't having much fun with it and was going to stop playing it no matter what. If you missed the f...
