Minecraft was just updated to version 1.9 today and wow is it ever a major, major update. Mojang is calling it the "Combat Update" but it includes far more than just significant updates to the combat. It also includes a glider, a new mob, more things to do in The End, new plants, new blocks, enchanted arrows, and more.
The general overview changelog is below. The full 1.9 changelog is really long and there's no way in hell I'm about to paste that short novel length thing over...

Hey, do you have $799 (USD) to spare? You do? Wow, that's surprising! I'll keep an eye on the mail for your check then! Oh, you're planning on buying the HTC Vive instead? Oh. Well, I understand. I hear virtual reality is going to be really amazing and here before we know it, especially with the HTC Vive now being available for pre-order. I hear it's going to come with two of their fancy VR controllers and movement tracking across an entire room in full 360 degrees. That's kind of wil... -

This Week in Review: Superhot (February 21 - 27, 2016)
I'm going to level with you all. Outside of Superhot, I haven't really had much time to play anything else "new" this week. And well, I already have a fairly lengthy review up for Superhot. Maybe you've seen it?
What else was there? Well, I started to play Until Dawn on the PlayStation 4. It's not really a new release though, but I am enjoying it. I have seen it played through a few times and I still wanted to purchase it. Fortunately, Sony had a sale on the game and I was... -

Gabe Newell Responds to Terrible Dota 2 Shanghai Major - Calls James Harding an Ass, Fires Production Company
Apparently, the Dota 2 Shanghai Major is kind of a shitshow. There are apparently problems with players getting the appropriate hardware, there are problems with being unable to watch the matches, and the list goes on.
It apparently got so bad that Gabe Newell took to the Dota 2 subreddit to reveal that someone named James is an ass and that they're firing the production company.
Two things: 1) James. We've had issues with James at previous events. Some Valve peopl... -

The Church in the Darkness Examines the Cult Movements of the 70s
Richard Rouse III (The Suffering, State of Decay) unveiled his new game today, The Church in the Darkness. The Church in the Darkness takes a look at the real-life cult movements of the 1970s. The game features the voice talents of Ellen McLain (GLaDOS) and John Patrick Lowrie (Sniper in Team Fortress 2). The two will voice the cult leaders in the game and both are also helping to compose the game's soundtrack.
No one is forced to join a cult. It welcomes you. It understands you.... -

Rumor: Battlefield 5 Retail Listing Suggests WWI Setting
A retail listing for Battlefield 5 popped up at a Swiss online retailer, World of Games. The description for the game mentions an October 26 release date and a description that points to the game being a "multiplayer tactical shooter in WWI."
The listing at the retailer still exists, however the description has been removed to simply say that it is a "multiplayer tactical shooter."
A Twitter user, Doctor_Cupcakes, seems to be the person that first discovered the initial... -

Necropolis Release Pushed to Summer, Console Versions Announced
Bandai Namco announced that there will be PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Necropolis coming alongside the PC release. Unfortunately, this good news comes with a bit of bad as the PC release was delayed until Summer. That means that all three versions of the game will be out at the same time this Summer.
NECROPOLIS combines third-person action with roguelike dungeon delving for a game that’s fast-paced and addictive, yet diabolically hardcore. Those elements, married with... -

Resident Evil 4, 5, and 6 Coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
Capcom just revealed that Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5, and Resident Evil 6 are coming out on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Strangely enough, they're starting with Resident Evil 6 on March 29, then releasing 5 this Summer, and then finally 4 will come later this year in the Fall. I suppose ending with your best foot forward is a good idea here.
Play as Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil 4 as he battles a multitude of threats to rescue the U.S. President’s daughter. Jump into... -

Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon Leaked
Just a day ahead of a special Pokemon Direct put on by Nintendo comes a leak that may have ever so slightly undermined what was slated to be revealed. Trademarks filed with the European Market show two new entries from Nintendo that were filed today.
These trademarks are for Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon. In fact, they both are accompanied by a logo. You can still see both entries at the OAMI website.
These entries seem to have been first reported by NerdLea... -

Action Game: The Movie: The Game
Here’s a quick question for everyone: Have you ever watched the “Bad Motherfucker” music video? If not, you should probably take a moment to check that out.
Done? Great! Now, have you seen the trailer for the upcoming movie, Hardcore Henry?
Awesome. Now you have a bit of an idea of just what to expect with Superhot. Of course, Superhot’s visuals aren’t exactly the same as those two videos. We are instead treated... -

Postal is Getting Remade in HD for Some Reason
The HD remake that nobody really wanted is coming out later this Spring. Yeah, I'm talking about an HD remake of the original Postal. No, not the FPS Postal, the original Postal.
After 19 years and millions of downloads, Running With Scissors is remaking their twin-stick shooter POSTAL and adding new content. POSTAL Redux will release on Steam for Windows, SteamOS and Mac in Spring 2016. Playstation 4 gamers can enjoy the surreal action later in the year, marking the franchise’s...

by Shawn ZipayIt's AAAA vs WB.
March isn't even over yet and we've already seen a couple of stinkers come out from major gaming studios. While we tend to focus on the surprise hits or quality titles in these polls, this time it's a little bit different.
