Remake of XIII Announced

A remake of the old(er) FPS known simply as XIII was announced today. The game features cel-shaded visuals and David Duchovny as the voice of the titular main character. The original originally came out back in 2003 and somehow attained "cult classic" status.

The remake will be out on November 13, 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac. The game itself is based on the first five volumes of the comic book series of the same name. The XIII remake is being handled by PlayMagic and will be published by Microids. ...

Sega Announces Another Ten Titles Coming with the Sega Genesis Mini

We dropped the ball on the original launch lineup, I fully admit that. However, I aim to correct that oversight by telling you about the SEGA Genesis Mini and the games that are coming with it. Prior to today only ten games were known. Today, another ten games join those original ten and we're going to tell you what all of those are. ...

Mortal Kombat 11 will be released starting April 23 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. We've already had a ton of coverage for this game over the prior few months, so be sure to check that out.

Today, the launch trailer for the game was released by WBIE and developer NetherRealm Studios. The trailer includes a remix made by DJ Dimitri Vegas and 2WEI for the song "Techno Syndrome."

Don't forget that just yesterday we saw the Shao Kahn reveal trailer that included a look at his special moves and at least one of his fatalities. There...

Watch the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Announcement Trailer

At the end of February, the world was alerted to the fact that Respawn Entertainment (Titanfall, Apex Legends) and EA would reveal a trailer for their new Star Wars title on this very day. It turns out, this scheduled event happened as planned.

Imagine that.

Earlier today the studios revealed the first details and trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order at the Star Wars Celebration that has been going on this weekend in Chicago. This is an original game set in the Star Wars universe and looks to take place after Order 66 was issued. This places the game set shortly...

New 425.31 Nvidia Drivers Bring Ray Tracing to Older GTX Cards

Remember about a month back when we told you that ray tracing was coming to those with non-RTX Nvidia cards? That day has finally arrived. With today's release of the 425.31 drivers, those on 1060 and higher cards can now give real-time ray tracing a spin.

Since all of these older cards lack the special hardware that helps to speed up DirectX Raytracing (DXR) in games, don't expect to have fantastic framerates. However, if you understand what you're getting yourself into, go nuts with it. Just make sure you have one of the following cards, have updated to the 425.31 Nvidia drivers,...

Report: Homefront: The Revolution Director Resigns from Crytek UK

They can deny it all they want, but the evidence stacking up against how financially unstable Crytek is right now is starting to become a bit overwhelming. The other week we reported on how the staff at Crytek simply stopped going in to work since they weren't paid for weeks. Today, it's being reported that the Director on Homefront: The Revolution, Hasit Zala, has resigned from his position at Crytek UK. There was no official word, only from sources "familiar with goings-on at the studio." This also follows the news that Ben Harris, the Development Manager at Crytek UK, left the studio earlier this month. I...

Tony Hawk Developer Neversoft Shuts Down

The developer of the Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero games, Neversoft, has shut its doors for the last time today. Back in May, it was announced that the team would be merged with Infinity Ward.

As you may expect, this "bigger" version of Infinity Ward is probably going to be dedicated to just making Call of Duty games. To mark the occasion, Neversoft not only burned a real-life replica of their eyeball logo, but they were also given a gift from Co-Founder Joel Jewett.

Sony Talks About the Potential for Early Access on PlayStation 4

In an interview with Sony's Adam Boyes, it was revealed that Sony has been tossing around the idea of introducing an Early Access type program on the PlayStation 4.
"We're always looking at different ways to make life easier. There's no stone unturned for what we can do. We're having conversations. We have a global strike team, plus an SCEA strike team, who are in charge of trying to figure out how to look at what's happening with early alpha access, or paid betas -- which we've allowed before with Dust 514. Even with our own product, PlayStation Now is going into open beta at the end of July. We're always looking at ways to make it easier and more accessible."

    Dota 2 The International 4 - Day 2 Recap

The second day of playoff rounds for The International 4 concluded and is in the books. The big winner on the day if ViCi, which sits at a 7-1 record. The worst performer was Arrow, which ended up the day at 2-8. Valve notes that if ViCi loses the rest of their playoff matches, they'll end up at 7-8. On the flip side, if Arrow wins the rest of their matches, they will also be 7-8. Is that record good enough to move on? It very well could be as all it takes is being in the top two teams to move on to the main event or being in the top 8 to move on to phase three of the playoffs and continue the dream of moving on to the main event...
