Review: FUSION Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One

The best feeling controller I've ever used.

Much like its FightPad sibling, the Fusion Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One is also an officially licensed product from Microsoft. That is about where the similarities end between these two drastically different peripherals. Where the FightPad is focused on just one specific genre, the Fusion Pro is built to take on all types of games.

This controller features a soft touch plastic faceplate, rubberized back, metallic accent rings, the same snap-lock USB cable from the FightPad, a 3.5mm audio jack on...

Review: FUSION Wired FightPad for Xbox One

A design blast from the past.

About a month ago, we brought you news on some new controllers coming out from PowerA. Specifically, the news was about the company's new FUSION Pro controllers and their FUSION FightPad offerings. At the same time, we were offered the opportunity to review these controllers.

Over the past month, I have put both the black FUSION Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One and the FUSION Wired FightPad for Xbox One through their paces. Of the two, I have spent far more time with the Pro controller, but you can read about that...

This news comes hot on the heels of word that Modern Warfare is doing away with paid map packs and loot boxes.

Review: GreedFall (PC)

A long and thrilling journey.

GreedFall is a game that filled a gaping void I did not know I had for a new action-RPG experience. Though it lacks some of the polish you would expect from a major game release these days, the game still rewards the player with fun and varied combat, complex story beats, and an overall experience that should make even the veterans at BioWare sit up and take notice. For those of you that have been on the fence about picking up GreedFall, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you did not go pick it up right now.

Blizzard Issues Insultingly Pathetic Statement About Blitzchung Suspension and Reasoning

The cowards just doubled down.

Taking a page from politicians and businesses that know late on Friday is the best time to release news that you are positively ashamed to share, Blizzard has finally issued a statement about the recent ban on Blitzchung and two Hearthstone casters.

Before we get into it all, let's just read what they have to say. Here is Blizzard's full statement as it currently appears on their website.

Despite a reduction of six months for the suspension, Blizzard is still punishing Blitzchung. The...

2014's Biggest Disappointments in the Gaming Industry - Part 1

As we near the end of another year it's time once again to collect our thoughts and think back on all the absolute garbage we have all had to endure from the gaming industry over these past 12 months. This ranges from terrible games, to terrible developers and publishers, the gaming press, and even the gaming community. Undoubtedly, some of the "worst" offenders will be obvious, but maybe, just maybe, there will be a few surprises included below. This will differ from previous years in that this will be more of an informal piece. I am writing this first and foremos...

The Last of Us 2 is Probably Already in the Works

Thanks to the Internet, it was spotted that a couple of Naughty Dog employees may already be working on The Last of Us 2. The current Linkedin profile for Michael Knowland, a former Lead Character Artist at Naughty Dog, notes that he worked on various head sculpts for The Last of Us 2.

Another Linkedin profile for Frank Tzeng, a Lead Character Artist at Naught Dog, mentions that he's working on both Uncharted 4 and an "unannounced AAA game." Hmm, could that also be The Last of Us 2? Maybe. Nothing has been announced by Naughty Dog yet....

Black Mesa Multiplayer - New Screenshots and Information

Hey, remember Black Mesa? Remember how it was delayed for a really long time (about eight years) and then when it finally came out (in 2012) it lacked about a quarter of the single player game and didn't come with the promised multiplayer? Do you also remember how it was one of the first ten games approved on Steam Greenlight and it still isn't out yet on Steam? Yeah, good times. However, let's ignore the doom and gloom and focus on the here and now. The now being December 2014 and the big news is that the team released two screenshots for the game's multiplayer...

Halo 5 Will Not Include Four Player Local Split Screen

We have some disappointing news for Halo fans today. It was revealed by Josh Holmes, the Studio Head for Halo 5: Guardians that the game will not feature local split screen for four players. It will max out at two for local multiplayer with four people possible through Xbox Live only.

If you plan on going through the campaign with three of your buddies, make sure you have at least two televisions, two systems, and two copies of the game.

  • A Post-Launch Trailer for Metrocide

    A Post-Launch Trailer for Metrocide

Though it was released on Monday for the PC and Mac, Metrocide did not have a launch trialer. Flat Earth Games fixed that today by releasing a post-launch trailer for their "cyberpunk arcade stealth-shooter."

"The tricks of the trade in Metrocide are hard earned but invaluable to any good cyberpunk killer," said Leigh Harris, co-founder of Flat Earth. "Whether it's deception, misdirection, crowd chaos or just an old-fashioned holo-lure, this trailer shows off some of the best and nastiest ways to make a living on the streets of Metro City."
