For the past several years now, the studio has been repeatedly under fire for how they included loot boxes in many of their titles. They have included loot box mechanics in games like Madden with their Madden Ultimate Team card packs, FIFA with the similar Ultimate Team mode, Battlefield 1, and perhaps most notably, Star Wars Battlefront 2.

In fact,...

  • Op-ed: Stop Supporting GamerGate

    Op-ed: Stop Supporting GamerGate

It's not often that I read something from either The Verge or Polygon and go, "wow, that is a fantastic piece of writing and I would like to share that with my readers!" Today is an exception brought on not only by necessity, not only due to the words of Frank Cifaldi, but because it's the right thing to do.

Back in August I put up a blog entry that, looking back on it now, completely misses the point as to what was going on. • DICE Says that Battlefield 4 "Absolutely" Destroyed Player Trust in the Franchise

In an interview with GameSpot, DICE LA Producer, David Sirland, said that Battlefield 4 did a fair amount of damage to the Battlefield franchise.

"We still probably have a lot of players who won't trust us to deliver a stable launch or a stable game. I don't want to say anything because I want to do. I want them to look at what we're doing and what we are going to do and that would be my answer. I think we have to do things to get them to trust us, not say things to get them to trust us.
