Did Sean Murray of Hello Games Lie About Meeting Others in No Man's Sky?
The short answer seems to be "yes" to the question posed in the above headline. The longer answer seems to be "yes, but with some potential caveats."
Last night, No Man's Sky was released on the PlayStation 4 (PC release is on Friday). Players all over flocked to the game to explore the near countless number of worlds, never really expecting to run into another player. However, two streamers found that they were on the same planet! They made efforts to meet up with each other,... -

Continuing with their month-long "Shear Madness" content updates for Evolve Stage 2, comes a new map variant, Cataclysm, and new co-op vs. AI mode.
Cataclysm Map Orbital Drill has been altered into a map engulfed in hellfire and molten lava. The sky has been consumed with embers, soot and smoke that could engulf the whole planet. Strangely enough alongside the hellfire, the planet seems to have taken some of the Hunters healing technology through this transformation. Once Hunts begin... -

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will Track Your Eyes
My, what pretty eyes you have there. All the better to see how Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will use eye tracking technology to "enhance" the gameplay experience for some. In a collaboration between Tobii and Eidos Montreal, Mankind Divided will support "multiple eye-tracking features" such as "greater game immersion, a cleaner UI, and enhanced navigation." This is made possible through the use of a Tobii EyeX device and a copy of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

Iran Bans Pokemon Go Over Security Concerns
Iran has become the first country to outright ban Pokemon Go due to concerns over "security." Iran's official group that oversees online activity, the High Council of Virtual Spaces, says that the ban comes due to unspecified "security concerns." While Iran is the first country to outright ban the game, smaller bans of the game have been issued around the world. Indonesia forbids their police officers from playing while on duty. Sex offenders in New York are forbidden from playing Pok... -

Noire Mystery, Bear With Me, Out Now on PC
A new noire styled point and click adventure game, Bear With Me, is out now on the PC. The game was developed by Exordium Games and it's about a 10-year old girl and her imaginary friends.
In Bear With Me, Amber sets out to find her missing brother. His location isn't the only mystery she faces; recent rumors suggest someone called the Red Man is starting fires across Paper City, the monochromatic make-believe world where her friends reside. To crack the case, Amber must discov... -

Valve Moving Offices Again Next May
Come May 2017, Valve will once again move offices into a larger area. It was reported this past week that the development studio will take up residence in the new office tower at Lincoln Square. Of the 1.5 million square feet of expanded space, Valve is set to occupy 225,000 square feet of that area. They will lease floors 11-19 in the building. With this move, Valve will have an additional 100,000 square feet of space to work with. This move will place Valve on the list of the "largest c... -

Week in Review: Layers of Fear: Inheritance and ABZU (July 31-August 6, 2016)
It's been one hell of a week both in terms of games played and just due to life in general. It really hit its stride when my computer decided to download the Windows 10 'Anniversary Update' (AU), the latest and greatest update to what has largely been a very nice operating system. Sadly, the update completely broke my computer in that it would freeze up roughly 30 seconds after logging in. Clicks didn't work, the Task Manager didn't work, CTRL+ALT+DEL didn't work. Nothing worked. It seems like I... -

Valve Puts Major Restrictions on Gift Giving VAC Supported Games; Innocent Users Upset
Valve recently made some changes to restrictions on gifting of VAC supported games, a move that is actually upsetting legitimate players. Here is what a recently updated Steam Support page has to say about these new restrictions.
Permanent Bans and Gift Restrictions VAC and Game Ban enabled games can either be bought for your own account, or gifted immediately. They can no longer be saved to your inventory for trading purposes. If you directly gift a game to someone who gets perma...
