Watch Almost an Hour of Death Stranding Gameplay

A lot of gameplay footage that may finally provide a lot of answers.

The marketing for the Kojima Productions game, Death Stranding, has left consumers with more questions than answers. It's a game from the mind of Hideo Kojima, so of course the marketing was going to be odd. The problem was, there are a lot of people that just have no idea about what the game was even about even after the numerous trailers.

Maybe sitting down and watching 50 minutes of gameplay will help clear up that confusion. If that doesn't work, then maybe a breakdown of the gameplay footage from...

Final Fantasy VII Remake Tokyo Game Show 2019 Trailer

The trailer is at the bottom after these boring words.

Square Enix showed off an all new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake this week at the Tokyo Game Show. The new trailer offers a fresh look at gameplay, the slums of Midgar, and a peak at the mini-games and summons. Midgar is home to the Shinra Electric Power Company. This kind of totally evil company is in conflict with Avalanche, a resistance group fighting to keep their planet alive. You will also get your first look at some of the Shinra operatives known as The Turks.

Square Enix also included their new artwork...

Cube World is Coming to Steam

Let me take you back to the year 2013...

In 2013, a little game called Cube World came out in an "alpha" release. It was a cute, stylized adventure-RPG that offered a ton of freedom, battles, exploration, and more. A big appeal of the alpha was being able to have all of these adventures with your friends in one world. To its credit, the limited content of the alpha was quite enjoyable but the promise of bigger and better was always just around the corner. The problem came when it was just never updated! Eventually the developer went dark.

We would sometimes...

  • (Update) DSfix for Dark Souls is Taken Down After Bandai Namco Reportedly Issues a DMCA Takedown

Update: It seems as though this was all just a big misunderstanding. NeoGAF user, Chariot, received a reply back from FDS File Defense Service, a group tasked with removing the "debug mode patches" for Dark Souls.
Good news: everything's ok guys! I just called Volker Rieck from FDS File Defense Service. They were indeed hired by Bandai Namco, but not the germany division, but the US Europe one, to take down all the debug mode patches. Dutante's DSfix was not part of the plan! Mr. Rieck is currently writing emails to Namco and dropbox to clear everything. Durante is allowed to reupload the patch, there is nothing wrong with it. Mr. Rieck was nice and took the time to explain the situation to me. I am currently on the phone, so I m

  • 2014's Biggest Disappointments in the Gaming Industry - Part 2

2014's Biggest Disappointments in the Gaming Industry - Part 2

Let's continue where I left off in "2014's Biggest Disappointments in the Gaming Industry - Part 1" from yesterday!

Xbox One Lacks a Screenshot Feature
The Xbox One shipped with even fewer features than the PlayStation 4 did, but a lot of cool new features have been added to the system regularly throughout the year. However, it still lacks a feature that fans have wanted from the start: The ability to take screenshots. The system already has the ability to record short gameplay clips but it can't take a simple screenshot? The PlayStation 4 had this feature in from the start and is personally one of my favorite features on the console. On the PS4, the call for more games to feature a "photo mode" has taken off because of how useful and fun it is.

That's not even mentioning that sharing screenshots online is essentially free advertising for the game and for the console it was taken on. Microsoft constantly notes that they are still working on adding the functionality to the Xbox One but there is still no date given on when that might actually happen.

    Timed Exclusives
I generally don't have any issues when a first-party game is announced as being exclusive to one platform or one console. These things happen and it's simply a par...

  • 2014's Biggest Disappointments in the Gaming Industry - Part 1

2014's Biggest Disappointments in the Gaming Industry - Part 1

As we near the end of another year it's time once again to collect our thoughts and think back on all the absolute garbage we have all had to endure from the gaming industry over these past 12 months. This ranges from terrible games, to terrible developers and publishers, the gaming press, and even the gaming community. Undoubtedly, some of the "worst" offenders will be obvious, but maybe, just maybe, there will be a few surprises included below. This will differ from previous years in that this will be more of an informal piece. I am writing this first and foremost on the blog section of Total Gaming Network. These have always been opinion pieces and since I don't really have anybody else to bounce ideas off of, it's also always been a personal list of the "worst" and "best" for each year. It may be poorly written, it may be incomplete, and it may even be rude. I'm sure none of you give a damn about any of that so let's just get this party started. ...

The Last of Us 2 is Probably Already in the Works

Thanks to the Internet, it was spotted that a couple of Naughty Dog employees may already be working on The Last of Us 2. The current Linkedin profile for Michael Knowland, a former Lead Character Artist at Naughty Dog, notes that he worked on various head sculpts for The Last of Us 2.

Another Linkedin profile for Frank Tzeng, a Lead Character Artist at Naught Dog, mentions that he's working on both Uncharted 4 and an "unannounced AAA game." Hmm, could that also be The Last of Us 2? Maybe. Nothing has been announced by Naughty Dog yet. There is no doubt that with Uncharted 4 slated...

  • Black Mesa Multiplayer - New Screenshots and Information

Black Mesa Multiplayer - New Screenshots and Information

Hey, remember Black Mesa? Remember how it was delayed for a really long time (about eight years) and then when it finally came out (in 2012) it lacked about a quarter of the single player game and didn't come with the promised multiplayer? Do you also remember how it was one of the first ten games approved on Steam Greenlight and it still isn't out yet on Steam? Yeah, good times.

However, let's ignore the doom and gloom and focus on the here and now. The now being December 2014 and the big news is that the team released two screenshots for the game's multiplayer along with a few bits of news.
