THQ Rises From the Dead; 23 Projects in Development
THQ is back! Kind of! Sort of?
It seems as though Nordic Games has been renamed to THQ Nordic. So in a way, it's like THQ is back! Only not. But they are? Yes.
Whilst we take great pride in our Swedish roots and accomplished a great deal under the Nordic Games masthead, we decided it was time to incorporate the THQ name. Those key brands will continue to shape our business in a meaningful way going forward, and THQ Nordic represents a core approach of doing much more... -

PSA: No Man's Sky on PC is a Technical Dumpster Fire
It seems as though the PC release of No Man's Sky is a bit of a clusterfuck right now. People all over are reporting technical issues that range from being unable to play the game to getting far below expected performance even on the latest and greatest video cards.
A "PC Performance Thread" on NeoGAF has generated literally hundreds of replies in the past few hours from people encountering stuttering, a 30fps cap, ALT+TAB not working, a complete lack of anisotropic filtering,... -

Xbox One was Best Selling Console Last Month in US, First Time Since October 2015
For the first time since October 2015, the Xbox One was the best selling console in the United States. In case there is any question, the other months were occupied with the PlayStation 4 as the top seller in the US. Microsoft issued a brief statement ahead of next week's NPD sales figures. They said that they are "honored that Xbox One was the best-selling console in the U.S." They go on to say that the hours that consumers spent using all Xbox products was up "18 percent" over the same per... -

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Dota 2 Announcer Pack Reveal
There is a Deus Ex: Mankind Divided announcer pack that could potentially be added to Dota 2. I say "could" because the community still needs to vote it in on the Steam Community, but I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that it will be added.
Yes, the announce pack if of none other than Adam Jensen, voiced by Elias Toufexis and was officially created by Eidos Montreal.
And if that doesn't tickle your fancy, maybe the Rick and Morty pac... -

GWENT Closed Beta Pushed to October 25
The GWENT team at CD PROJEKT RED issued some sad news today when they revealed that the closed beta for their anticipated Witcher card game won't kick off until October 25.
Dear Gamers, At E3 we announced that we’d launch the Closed Beta of GWENT: The Witcher Card Game in September. Unfortunately, we feel we need some extra time with the game before we hand it off to you for testing. We know we can make a first impression only once, and want to be sure everything is ready be... -

Kotaku and Other Gawker Sites Being Auctioned Off Next Week
Next week, the Gawker Media sites will be put up for auction. It seems as though each Gawker site will be auctioned off separately instead of together as a group. This means that Kotaku will more than likely be going to the highest bidder.
Gawker Media is undergoing some changes. The publisher of this site, and many of your other favorite (Kotaku) and least favorite (Deadspin) blogs, will be sold at auction next week.Right now, it seems as though Ziff Davis (IGN, Ookla (Speedtest.... -

PlayStation Event Scheduled for September 7
Sony passed out invitations to what they're calling a "PlayStation Meeting" scheduled for September 7. The company is expected to "share details about the PlayStation business" with those in attendance. It's speculated that this will be the big reveal event for the PlayStation 4 Neo. It's also rumored that there may be some new Vita hardware revealed because of some new FCC filings that were discovered? It's a bit of a stretch, especially given how nobody (IE: Sony and other developers) reall... -

PSA: Change Your Passwords - Dota 2 Forums Reportedly Hacked
The forums on Dota 2's official website have reportedly been hacked. These are not the Dota 2 sections on the Steam Community but the forums hosted separately on Dota2.com. The hack reportedly happened on July 10.
This was revealed by Leaked Source that released their findings to the public earlier today. The information obtained includes emails and the very weak MD5 encryption on passwords. After changing your passwords, you can remove yourself from the Leaked Source database... -
