Why Titanfall 2 Multiplayer Test Won't Include PC
There is an upcoming multiplayer technical test for Titanfall 2. Fans should be happy because it will give many people a chance to "demo" the game ahead of release as well as provide important information to the developers for final fixes and tweaks.
The problem is that this test will only be on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and not on the PC. Why? Vince Zampella breaks it down.
Two big issues from a development standpoint: hardware variety & “min spec” optimization.... -

No Man's Sky is a Massive Disappointment
About as deep and as entertaining as a puddle.
I did something a bit different with my "Week in Review" this week for No Man's Sky. Instead of just writing up a few sentences about why I think the game is a massive disappointment, I decided to share my unedited rant/thoughts about the game. I recorded this last night as part of my Twitch stream of World of Warcraft. Why was I playing WoW and not No Man's Sky while talking about No Man's Sky? Well, it's simply because No Man's... -

Final Fantasy XV Gets Yet Another Delay
It looks like you will have to yet again "wait a bit longer" for the release of Final Fantasy XV. The game, which has been in development for about a decade now (that's not a joke), has again been delayed. The new release date is set for November 29, 2016. The previously announced release date was set for September 30.
This release date will allow the development teams time to further polish and conduct quality testing so that the reality of the game can match the expectations of... -

Blizzard Rolling Out 60 Tickrate Update for Overwatch
Even before its launch, people were raising hell about the poor tickrate situation in Overwatch. It was discovered that the client tickrate was roughly 20 while the servers sat at roughly 60 updates per second. This led to many situations such as being pulled through walls by Roadhog. Or maybe you saw a Killcam where you knew your character was in a slightly different location than what they enemy's feed conveyed. Yes, some of these issues are merely related to lag, but a lot did hav... -

THQ Rises From the Dead; 23 Projects in Development
THQ is back! Kind of! Sort of?
It seems as though Nordic Games has been renamed to THQ Nordic. So in a way, it's like THQ is back! Only not. But they are? Yes.
Whilst we take great pride in our Swedish roots and accomplished a great deal under the Nordic Games masthead, we decided it was time to incorporate the THQ name. Those key brands will continue to shape our business in a meaningful way going forward, and THQ Nordic represents a core approach of doing much more... -

PSA: No Man's Sky on PC is a Technical Dumpster Fire
It seems as though the PC release of No Man's Sky is a bit of a clusterfuck right now. People all over are reporting technical issues that range from being unable to play the game to getting far below expected performance even on the latest and greatest video cards.
A "PC Performance Thread" on NeoGAF has generated literally hundreds of replies in the past few hours from people encountering stuttering, a 30fps cap, ALT+TAB not working, a complete lack of anisotropic filtering,...

by Shawn ZipayIt's AAAA vs WB.
March isn't even over yet and we've already seen a couple of stinkers come out from major gaming studios. While we tend to focus on the surprise hits or quality titles in these polls, this time it's a little bit different.
