New GreedFall 'Companions' Trailer

This is one adventure you won't be making alone.

A new trailer was released today for Spiders upcoming RPG GreedFall. We last saw GreedFall only a short time back when we got a nice new gameplay overview trailer. Today, we're getting a look at some of the party members that will accompany you on your adventures.

These companions will have unique abilities, you can form relationships with them, and you'll get to experience their different stories.

Ion Fury Devs Apologize for Numerous Sexist, Homophobic, and Transphobic Remarks

Sweeping changes are promised as a result.

Voidpoint, the studio behind the just released Ion Fury, has apologized for a series of "incidents" wherein multiple developers were found to use transphobic, ableist, homophobic, and sexist language in the game's official Discord channel. This is on top of some homophobic language found within the game itself.

Respawn's CEO Vince Zampella issued a bit of an apology today after members of the Apex Legends development team called a bunch of toxic ass-hat gamers, well... they called them ass-hats. Donning their biggest surprised Pikachu face possible, these Gamers™ got extra angry when they realized they couldn't just keep dishing it out and not expect some form of retaliation in return. Sony Bought Insomniac Games Today

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has officially purchased Insomniac Games today. You're probably surprised to hear that the studio that developed last year's PlayStation 4 exclusive Spider-Man wasn't already owned by Sony prior to this week.

Cyberpunk 2077 Announced for Google Stadia

A game about an obsession with power is coming to Google Stadia.

CD Projekt RED announced today that Cyberpunk 2077 is also coming to Stadia, the cloud-based gaming platform from Google. Stadia owners will get to experience a story set in the open-world location of Night City. This megalopolis is filled with those obsessed with power, glamor, and the never ending pursuit of body modification.

  • CS:GO Update Places Seven Day Trade and Market Restriction on Keys - January 8, 2015

    A new update was released tonight for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The update includes a few gameplay adjustments to the P250 and CZ as well as some small adjustments to a variety of maps. Most notably, tonight's update also includes restriction on keys purchased from the Steam Community Market.

    Between last month's news that the six month subscription plan was removed for Elder Scrolls Online and today's news, the signs pointing to a "free-to-play" announcement are becoming more and more apparent. Today, EB Games was ordered to start pulling all of their remaining copies of Elder Scrolls Online from store shelves. This also includes all remaining pre-paid subscription cards for the game. All copies must be removed by January 13 and be shipped back to the publisher.     Transistor Sold Over 600,000 Copies, Bastion Surpasses 3 Million

    Supergiant Games reported some good news today. It seems as though sales of their latest title, Transistor, have been quite strong for the studio. Since its release, the game has sold over 600,000 copies between Steam and the PlayStation Network.


    This game's success comes after the success of their previous title, Bastion. That game has also done quite well for itself, now selling more than 3 million copies to date.

    2K and Turtle Rock revealed today that their 4v1 multiplayer title, Evolve, has officially gone gold today. To mark the occasion, the teams have released the intro cinematic for the game.

    In addition, Turtle Rock had pledged not to shave or cut their hair until the game passed certification. They promised to pledge $50 to the Child's Play charity for each inch of beard grown and head of hair cut after this milestone was reached.     You may not know their name but chances are you know their games. Zombie Studios is closing up after over 20 years in the industry. They are the studio that brought us the free-to-play Blacklight: Retribution. They have also developed various entries in the Spec Ops franchise, the Saw games, Daylight, and Zork Nemesis just to name a few of their contributions.

    Zombie Studios was founded in 1994 by Mark Long and Joanna Alexander. The two have decided to retire and bring about the end of the Zombie Studios story.
