Ubisoft Pulls Licenses for The Crew, Makes the Game Completely Inaccessible to Buyers

From the same company trying to sell you a $130 version of Star Wars Outlaws.

From announcing a $130 edition of Star Wars Outlaws to pulling game licenses from those that bought The Crew, Ubisoft sure is on a roll this week.

The Crew was Ubisoft's open-world racing game that was pulled from sale back in December 2023. As of March 31, 2024, Ubisoft shut down the online servers for The Crew. This effectively made the game unplayable across all platforms, including: PC,...

Tim Sweeney Called Valve 'Assholes' in Email to Gabe Newell, Valve COO Says 'You Mad Bro?'

Tim Sweeney is always mad.

The antitrust lawsuit against Valve from Wolfire Games got a little spicy this week. To quickly get you up to speed: Wolfire claims that Valve uses its position with Steam to control game prices and muscle out competition. Though the initial lawsuit against Valve was dismissed, Wolfire amended their suit in May 2022 and the legal battle was back on.

It may have taken almost two years, but we are now starting to see some of the documents that...

Xbox Confirms PlayStation 5 Releases, Diablo 4 on Game Pass, and Future Hardware Plans

No, Starfield and Indiana Jones are not going multi-platform any time soon.

The heads of Xbox stayed true to their word and were indeed a part of a special edition of the Official Xbox Podcast. During today's pre-recorded podcast and subsequent blog post, head of Xbox Phil Spencer stated that four Xbox exclusives are going to be multi-platform releases. Is it Starfield? Indiana Jones? Gears of War? Halo?! No, no, no, and no. Though Spencer did not specify what those four titles ...

Embracer Lays Off 97 Employees from Eidos; Cancels New Deus Ex

Embracer's rampage continues.

Old Conquest Ticket System Returns Following Battlefield 1 Beta Feedback

It seems as though Battlefield fans weren't too keen on the changes DICE attempted with the ticket system in Battlefield 1. They originally had it so that kills did not take away tickets. The only way to really bleed the opposition dry was to capture more points than them. In theory, this meant that people should have been playing the objective more than focusing on team deathmatch. In reality, people still camped and played the game like it was team deathmatch. In order to appease the...

Split-Screen Co-op Confirmed for Gears of War 4 PC

The PC version of Gears of War 4 will include split-screen co-op support. This should be great for those that have their computers hooked up to their TVs for a little couch co-op action. Mike Rayner, the game's Technical Director, says that they added this feature because of how many people wanted it in Gears of War Ultimate Edition.
“From a development standpoint, it is quite difficult to support,” Rayner said, “we have to deal with multiple inputs, we have to deal with focus,

The Witcher 3 Won't Get the PS4 Pro Bump

CD Projekt RED announced that they will not enhance The Witcher 3 for the PlayStation 4 Pro. This means no bump to 4K, no visual enhancements, nothing. What you see is what you get for that game.

The studio says that they would rather focus their resources on developing Cyberpunk 2077 and Gwent, the stand-alone card game based on the in-game card game of the same name in The Witcher 3.
"Since we want to fully focus on Cyberpunk 2077 and Gwent, and converting The Witcher

Digital Homicide Now Wants to Sue Valve

Digital Homicide first sues Jim Sterling because he had the nerve to call them out on their asset flip cookie cutter games. Then, they subpoena Valve for the real names of 100 Steam users they wanted to sue because they said mean things about them. Then, Valve removes Digital Homicide's games from Steam for essentially bullying the Steam userbase. Now, Digital Homicide wants to sue Valve. Digital Homicide is the gift that keeps on giving. Here is what Digital Homicide put up on their...

Kojima's Death Stranding - Co-op, Release Window, and More

A few tweets tonight by the Kojima Productions Twitter account shed a few additional details on what we can expect from the mysterious Death Stranding.

It seems as though the game will feature some form of co-op. Kojima Productions said that the game will feature a "new form of co-op play but will of course be fully playable in single player." So, does someone play as Norman Reedus and the other person is the baby? The team is still actively casting people for the roles i...

Valve Removes Digital Homicide Games from Steam

Hey, remember yesterday when we brought that story of the critically acclaimed and award winning developer, Digital Homicide's James Romine campaign to sue 100 Steam users for $18 million? Yeah, remember how they sent a subpoena to Valve requesting the real names and information for those 100 Steam users?

As expected, that didn't work out too well for Digital Homicide.

Digital Homicide Also Suing 100 Steam Users for $18 Million

Not content with being a bothersome fly on Jim Sterling's wall, Indie "developer" James Romine of Digital Homicide, is now going after 100 anonymous Steam users. To make what is arguably a long (and stupid) story short, Romaine has been in a legal battle with Jim Sterling for well over a year now. Essentially, Digital Homicide accused Sterling of "assault, libel, and slander" after he put out a video blasting them for their low-effort and low-quality games. You know, as Jim Sterling tends to...

After a rollercoaster of a day with no fewer than three press releases being sent, it seems as though Bandai Namco has finally decided on the fate of the PlayStation Vita version of Digimon World: New Order for North America. That fate is... not good. It seems as though the final statement is that Digimon World: New Order is only coming to the PlayStation 4 in North America in early 2017.
