Review: FUSION Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One

The best feeling controller I've ever used.

Much like its FightPad sibling, the Fusion Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One is also an officially licensed product from Microsoft. That is about where the similarities end between these two drastically different peripherals. Where the FightPad is focused on just one specific genre, the Fusion Pro is built to take on all types of games.

This controller features a soft touch plastic faceplate, rubberized back, metallic accent rings, the same snap-lock USB cable from the FightPad, a 3.5mm audio jack on...

Review: FUSION Wired FightPad for Xbox One

A design blast from the past.

About a month ago, we brought you news on some new controllers coming out from PowerA. Specifically, the news was about the company's new FUSION Pro controllers and their FUSION FightPad offerings. At the same time, we were offered the opportunity to review these controllers.

Over the past month, I have put both the black FUSION Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One and the FUSION Wired FightPad for Xbox One through their paces. Of the two, I have spent far more time with the Pro controller, but you can read about that...

Review: GreedFall (PC)

A long and thrilling journey.

GreedFall is a game that filled a gaping void I did not know I had for a new action-RPG experience. Though it lacks some of the polish you would expect from a major game release these days, the game still rewards the player with fun and varied combat, complex story beats, and an overall experience that should make even the veterans at BioWare sit up and take notice. For those of you that have been on the fence about picking up GreedFall, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you did not go pick it up right now.

The cowards just doubled down.

Before we get into it all, let's just read what they have to say. Here is Blizzard's full statement as it currently appears on their website.

Despite a reduction of six months for the suspension, Blizzard is still punishing Blitzchung. The...

If you owned any of the previous Rock Band games, it might be time to pull those plastic instruments out of the closet and dust them off because Rock Band 4 was just announced. Will your old instruments work from the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3? Maybe. Will all of those DLC songs and imported tracks work? Sure!* *Assuming you aren't trying to go from 360 -> PS4 or PS3 -> XB1 Yeah, there's the catch. You...

A Short Video from Valve's Portal VR Demo

Maximum PC took some footage from a portion of Valve's talk on virtual reality. During the talk, they showed off a short "Aperture Science VR Demo." It's important to note here that while we believe this is running on Source 2 (the lighting could be a big sign of this), it was not specifically announced as running on Source 2.

Even if it wasn't Source 2, the fact that it's VIRTUAL REALITY should be awesome enough for anybody!...

According to Microsoft, DirectX 12 will add an addition 20% boost to the Xbox One GPU. That's certainly nothing to sneeze at though it still falls short of the performance of the PlayStation 4 GPU.

  • Nvidia Announces the 12GB GeForce GTX Titan X GPU

Nvidia Announces the 12GB GeForce GTX Titan X GPU

Nvidia announced the GeForce GTX Titan X today, a new 12GB graphics card. The reveal happened during Epic's keynote this morning where Tim Sweeney, Weta Digital, Oculus, and others in the industry were showing off a demo of a new VR experience called Thief in the Shadows. Details were sparse about the GPU's capabilities. The only things that were really revealed by Nvidia's Jen-Hsun, were that the card has eight billion transistors and a 12GB framebuffer. A Look at Valve's New Steam Controller

The latest, and perhaps final look, for Valve's Steam Controller was shown off at GDC 2015 this week. Engadget managed to snag some hands-on time with it and offers up both impressions and screenshots.
I spent roughly 10 minutes with the final Steam Controller at GDC 2015, playing snippets of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, The Talos Principle and Unreal Tournament on various Steam Machines. The body of the controller is wonderful to hold. Two long, clickable pads running along the backside of the handles, right where a player's middle and ring fingers lie, would

Mike Ey, the 30 year old project designer behind Microsoft HoloLens was tragically killed this weekend in a hit and run accident.
Friends say Ey's professional passion was perfecting "HoloLens," Microsoft's new "augmented reality" tool in development that blends the digital world with the real world. The technology will eventually enable anyone to create and interact with three-dimensional holographic images in real space. "He said it was the coolest thing ever," Piering said.
