Review: FUSION Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One

The best feeling controller I've ever used.

Much like its FightPad sibling, the Fusion Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One is also an officially licensed product from Microsoft. That is about where the similarities end between these two drastically different peripherals. Where the FightPad is focused on just one specific genre, the Fusion Pro is built to take on all types of games.

This controller features a soft touch plastic faceplate, rubberized back, metallic accent rings, the same snap-lock USB cable from the FightPad, a 3.5mm audio jack on...

Review: FUSION Wired FightPad for Xbox One

A design blast from the past.

About a month ago, we brought you news on some new controllers coming out from PowerA. Specifically, the news was about the company's new FUSION Pro controllers and their FUSION FightPad offerings. At the same time, we were offered the opportunity to review these controllers.

Over the past month, I have put both the black FUSION Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One and the FUSION Wired FightPad for Xbox One through their paces. Of the two, I have spent far more time with the Pro controller, but you can read about that...

New progression system details revealed.

A new blog focused on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare went up today that talks about the progression changes that were made for this year's release. First off, there are no more Prestige levels. Players will be able to earn 55 base levels and 100 additional Officer Ranks in each season of play.

This news comes hot on the heels of word that Modern Warfare is doing away with paid map packs and loot boxes.

Each weapon now also has 100 earnable camo patterns and an average of 50 attachments. You...

Review: GreedFall (PC)

A long and thrilling journey.

GreedFall is a game that filled a gaping void I did not know I had for a new action-RPG experience. Though it lacks some of the polish you would expect from a major game release these days, the game still rewards the player with fun and varied combat, complex story beats, and an overall experience that should make even the veterans at BioWare sit up and take notice. For those of you that have been on the fence about picking up GreedFall, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you did not go pick it up right now.

Blizzard Issues Insultingly Pathetic Statement About Blitzchung Suspension and Reasoning

The cowards just doubled down.

Taking a page from politicians and businesses that know late on Friday is the best time to release news that you are positively ashamed to share, Blizzard has finally issued a statement about the recent ban on Blitzchung and two Hearthstone casters.

Before we get into it all, let's just read what they have to say. Here is Blizzard's full statement as it currently appears on their website.

Despite a reduction of six months for the suspension, Blizzard is still punishing Blitzchung. The...

Rumor: The Last Guardian to Have Presence at E3 2015

Look, I'm usually super skeptical about rumors nowadays, especially when it comes to anything related to The Last Guardian. With that in mind, I will say that the following seemed notable enough to at least mention.

A few posts from a mysterious user on NeoGAF seems to indicate that they have some sort of knowledge that the rest of us plebeians do not possess. When asked in a thread on NeoGAF whether or not The Last Guardian will be shown at E3 2015, the answer was a very unambiguous "yes."

Usually when these supposed "insiders" post on Neo...

A Look at the Audio Obstruction System in Battlefield 4 CTE

New to the Battlefield 4 CTE is the audio obstruction system. This new system slightly tunes how you hear audio in Battlefield 4 depending on whether or not there is an obstruction or object between you and the origin of the sound. Youtube user David Sirland put together a handy video that shows off this new system at work. In the video, white signals indicate that there is no obstruction between you and the sound origin. Red indicators signify that the sound is obstructed and modifies the sound accordingly. Obstructed sounds typically remove some of the higher ...

This is How Megalodon was Discovered in Battlefield 4

Allow Jackfrags to take you on a journey that I'm still trying to wrap my mind around here. This is how the Megalodon easter egg was found in Battlefield 4. Specifically, this is how the Megalodon was discovered in the CTE for Battlefield 4. That's right, something that people thought was in the game since near its launch was actually only added in a recent CTE patch. Oh well, it's still pretty cool.

Del Toro Hesitant to Make Games Again After Being Screwed Over Twice Now

Guillermo Del Toro says that he is kind of hesitant to try making a game again after being screwed over twice now. His first attempt came in 2012 when he was working with THQ on a game called Insane that was eventually cancelled. His latest is obviously the now DOA Silent Hills from Konami.
    Del Toro also expres...

Square Enix Reschedules E3 2015 Press Event

I'm not really sure which party is truly in the wrong here but following the reveal that Nintendo and Square Enix were holding their E3 2015 events at the same time, Square Enix decided to back down. Square Enix originally scheduled their event for 9AM on June 16, the time Nintendo typically held their E3 events. Nintendo then comes along and schedules their event for the same time. Today, Square Enix decided to reschedule their event for 10AM on the same day. I know it's "tradition" for Nintendo to hold their E3 event at that time and that day each year, but it's st...

Microsoft Will Force Candy Crush Saga Installs on Windows 10 Owners

Microsoft was so damn close to having an amazing launch for Windows 10. Free upgrades to Windows 10 for existing Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 owners? Awesome! They were doing so many things right that you just had a feeling there was going to be a catch somewhere. This is that catch.

According to the latest posting on Xbox.com, Microsoft will automatically install Candy Crush Saga onto the machines of customers that upgrade to or download Windows 10 for unspecified periods of time following the launch of the game. You read that correctly. Hell, I'll...
