Call of Duty Shakeup - Call of Duty 2020 is Another Black Ops and Is Modern Warfare 4 Going Free-to-Play?

Reports include talk of arguments between Sledgehammer and Raven.

There are reported some massive changes happening behind the scenes of the Call of Duty franchise. According to a new report from Jason Schreier of Kotaku, Call of Duty 2020 is no longer being developed by Sledgehammer and Raven. It will instead be handled by Treyarch and it will be another entry in the Black Ops saga.

This is the first major change in the development cycle of the Call of Duty franchise since 2012. Since then, the Call of Duty games have cycled between three lead studios. Those studios...

Bungie Brings Back the Nerf Gun on Fan-Favorite Destiny 2 Weapons

Old Bungie is back.

Around the release of the Curse of Osiris update for Destiny 2, Bungie had vowed to take a drastically different approach to how they handle community favored weapons in the game. Old Bungie would have nerfed those weapons into the ground without a second thought.

But new Bungie? New Bungie said that they wanted to instead buff up other weapons to make them more attractive choices. This was a part of their "Go Fast Update" initiative. Specifically, here is what they said in all capital letters for some weird reason (via Game Rant).

Review: A Plague Tale: Innocence (PC)

Incredible from start to finish.

Every once in a while there comes a new game release that defies all expectations. A Plague Tale: Innocence is one such game. Thanks to a delicate balance of satisfying gameplay and an engaging story, A Plague Tale will sink its hooks into you right from its opening chapters. Though there are a couple of small missteps along the way, the journey you share with siblings Amicia and Hugo is one you really don't want to miss.

There are many more review "buzz words" I could use to describe A Plague Tale, but I will spare you from...

EA Teases Titanfall 2 as Not Being an Xbox Exclusive

Remember Titanfall? Remember how all of those PlayStation owners got to play that game? Yeah, that didn't happen because Titanfall was an Xbox exclusive and only came out on the One, 360, and PC. Perhaps EA realized what a bad idea that was because rumors of the totally not yet announced Titanfall 2 seem to indicate that the game will not be exclusive to the Xbox platform! Horray!

In speaking at the 2015 Technology, Internet and Media Conference, EA's CFO Blake Jorgensen spoke briefly about the still totally not yet announced Titanfall 2 and what their plans are with that game.

Op-Ed: Here is Why the Battlefield Hardline Beta Did Not Sell Me on the Game

The latest Battlefield Hardline beta has come and gone (at least by the time you read this). Undoubtedly, the beta will have sold fence sitters on purchasing the game while others have probably decided to save their $60 for another time. Hardline finds Visceral Games at the helm, leaving DICE to presumably work on Star Wars: Battlefront. Thus the question lingering in the air is if the developer known best for the Dead Space franchise could capture the magic that made the Battlefield franchise the powerhouse it once was.

So, did they? Did Visceral manage to create a game worthy of the Battlefield name? No, absolutely not. There is nothing here that would validate spending $60 (at the bare minimum) for this game. Then of course we cannot forget the potential Premium "Season Pass" offering on top of that. Of course, it didn't all leave a sour taste in my mouth, just a good portion of...

  • New Asteroids Game is a Sandbox Survival Game

New Asteroids Game is a Sandbox Survival Game

    Remember Asteroids?

Yeah, that game right there. It's an iconic game from the late 70's. It's difficult not to know what Asteroids is. Now take that, but turn it into a sandbox survival game. That's precisely what Atari is doing with Asteroids: Outpost. According to the studio, the game will take place on a giant asteroid. Players will search out resources, craft their gear, and build a base.

Players will also have to defend that base from other players. What about actually shooting asteroids? Yeah, that's still in the game at points. Asteroid showers will bring money and danger to the players, so you'll have to shoot them down to protect yourself.
