Alan Wake 2 Review: A Must-Play Psychological Horror Experience
Easily, the best horror game in years.
In 2010 Remedy Entertainment released Alan Wake, a game where a writer is pulled into a horrifying world seemingly of his own creation. Alan Wake was a game that I bounced off at least two times. Despite the game being well received by critics and fans, I felt like its gameplay was just a repetitive slog that even its unique story could not overcome. When a sequel was announced by Remedy, I found myself extremely indifferent to the news. Still...

Review: Starfield
A safe, if not soulless, journey through the cosmos.
Bethesda Game Studios releases are safe. They are familiar. You know almost exactly what to expect when a major new release from them rolls around. They instill a feeling of "I know this game won't be groundbreaking, but I know I'll have fun." Yes, there are some obvious differences, but the heart of each Bethesda game is almost universally the same. The recent release of Starfield is no different. To put it bluntly: Starfield is Fall...

Unreleased Half-Life 2 Episode Map Leaked
The folks over at ValveTime got their hands on some of the uncompiled source files for an unreleased Half-Life 2 episode. Included in the leak are a series of files related to the Half-Life 2: Episode series of games. These include maps for Episode One, several early Episode Two maps, and a map from a canceled Episode that was in development from Junction Point Studios. The map dates back to late 2005 and shows off a snow-themed version of Ravenholm. It includes "small puzzles, scripted se... -

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Surpasses $11 Million in Sales in Three Days
The Bluehole developed PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has already surpassed $11 million sales in its first three days of being on Steam Early Access. The developer, based in South Korea, announced this detail today along with the fact that it has topped 67,000 concurrent players.
The game is currently available on Steam for just $30 and aims to surpass rivals in the genre such as H1Z1. It probably stands to reason since the team includes the original creator of the competitive... -

Final Fantasy XV Update to Fix Chapter 13 is Out Now
Square Enix delivered on their promise to release a "fixed" version of Chapter 13 in Final Fantasy XV. Many fans who played it thought that Chapter 13 was, well, kind of terrible and it seems as though Square Enix agreed.
This week's update for the game changes up Chapter 13, hopefully for the better. This update also goes hand-in-hand with the game's first character DLC, Episode Gladiolus.
The episode features:... -

I Guess Destiny 2 was Just Officially Announced
Last week we saw some leaked posters for Destiny 2, a game that technically wasn't even announced yet, but we all knew was coming. Now, just moments ago, the official Destiny Twitter account tweeted out a picture of Destiny 2. I am assuming now means that the game is officially announced? It's kind of a weird situation since there is literally nothing else here besides a simple image. This "announcement" comes not with a bang but a whimper. Maybe we'll get a trailer soon? Maybe w... -

Rumor: Leaked Art Points to WWII Setting for Call of Duty 2017
If this leaked artwork is to be believed, Call of Duty will make a return to WWII in its 2017 release. Artwork depicting Call of Duty: WWII surfaced today from Reddit and "TheFamilyVideoGamers" on YouTube.
The original leak seems to come from the person that leaked the first details about Infinite Warfare's multiplayer ahead of its reveal, so there might be something to this. Despite how authentic these images may be, it is still advised to take them with a grain of salt.... -

GameStop Closing Over 150 Stores as Stocks Plummet
Shortly after the news came that hardware sales at GameStop fell over 29% (software down over 19%) in the fourth quarter, came the news that shares in the company were down 12%. GameStop announced that global sales has gone down 13.6% to 'just' $3.05 billion. As a result of this poor performance, GameStop also announced today that it will close between 2% to 3% of its stores around the world. This means the closure of at least 150 of its physical retail locations. They blame the decline in sa... -

Destiny 2 Poster, Release Date, and Release Platforms Leaked
Today, a couple of posters were leaked showing that yes, Destiny 2 is real and it's slated to be released on September 8. And by "posters" I mean those paper things you hang on walls and not random words posted on a message board.
The first came from Lega Network.it and the second looks to come from Eurogamer. I believe that there are other photos circulating of the poster but I figure two different sources is really all you need to know that it's probably legit. Lega Network's... -
