From the same company trying to sell you a $130 version of Star Wars Outlaws.

From announcing a $130 edition of Star Wars Outlaws to pulling game licenses from those that bought The Crew, Ubisoft sure is on a roll this week.

The Crew was Ubisoft's open-world racing game that was pulled from sale back in December 2023. As of March 31, 2024, Ubisoft shut down the online servers for The Crew. This effectively made the game unplayable across all platforms, including: PC,...

Tim Sweeney is always mad.

The antitrust lawsuit against Valve from Wolfire Games got a little spicy this week. To quickly get you up to speed: Wolfire claims that Valve uses its position with Steam to control game prices and muscle out competition. Though the initial lawsuit against Valve was dismissed, Wolfire amended their suit in May 2022 and the legal battle was back on.

It may have taken almost two years, but we are now starting to see some of the documents that...

No, Starfield and Indiana Jones are not going multi-platform any time soon.

The heads of Xbox stayed true to their word and were indeed a part of a special edition of the Official Xbox Podcast. During today's pre-recorded podcast and subsequent blog post, head of Xbox Phil Spencer stated that four Xbox exclusives are going to be multi-platform releases. Is it Starfield? Indiana Jones? Gears of War? Halo?! No, no, no, and no. Though Spencer did not specify what those four titles ...

Black Mesa Once Again Delays Xen

Oh hey look, Black Mesa announced a delay. This is totally shocking and unexpected. Xen is delayed. Oh no. Surprising. Etc.
Unfortunately, as some of you may have already predicted, we are going to need to push back our planned release of Xen to later this year, in December. We know that this is not what anyone would want to hear, but after taking a long and hard look at what we want to achieve, we have decided that this is for the best. We do not want to compromise on Xen’s quality

Dungeon Defenders II Released on PC, PS4, and XB1

Dungeon Defenders II just came out today from Trendy Entertainment for the PC, PS4, and XB1. Here I am believing that the game already came out a while ago, but I was mistaken. It was apparently in Steam Early Access for a while before today.
Dungeon Defenders II is a fusion of some of the best aspects of tower defense games and RPGs, featuring classic elements like loot, pets, a variety of heroes to level up and more. Build defenses to survive against progressively tougher waves

A new twin-stick shooter from Housemarque (Resogun, Matterfall) came out today. Nex Machina takes arcade style shooting to the next level with a lot of destruction, plenty of gorgeous visuals, and a great soundtrack.
Working in collaboration with Eugene Jarvis—legendary creator of Robotron 2048 and Smash TV—the game is a tribute to the arcade classics of the 1980s. In Nex Machina, humans have become deeply dependent on technology, while around them, machines have reached consciousness

While this map is only for those that have Premium or own the They Shall Not Pass DLC. You can, however, play the map through the Premium Friends system, provided you have friends... with Premium. World of Tanks Coming to Xbox One X; New 4K Screenshots

Wargaming announced today that "WoT is under development for the console." I think I was able to decipher the clues from the rest of the email here to figure out that World of Tanks is in development for the Xbox One X. The email, uh, wasn't very clear about this. Though seeing as how the game is already out for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, I really don't think they meant the Switch. Let's face it, 4K screenshots coming from a Switch? Not very likely. Speaking of those sc...

The Influence of Games on Online Casinos

For years now, the casino industry has made significant strides towards becoming far more mainstream. This includes the addition of more touch screen devices at traditional casino establishments. It also includes the addition of gambling for fun (not for real money payouts) devices being added to places that never had any sort of gambling machines in the past. This also includes the push for more gambling in an online environment. Lately, the biggest push is for online casinos. There are a numbe...

Despite Activision claiming time and time again that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered would never be sold separately, it looks like they were lying. Well, they're lying assuming that the rumors are true, rumors that have photographic evidence to back up the claims.

According to some tips provided to Charlie Intel, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will be released as a stand-alone product on June 20 for the rather lofty price of $39.99 (USD). The anonymous source said...

Take-Two Shuts Down Paid GTA Online Cheating Tool

Hot on the heels of shutting down a totally harmless single player mod tool set, OpenIV, Take-Two has finally set their sights on the actual problem in GTA Online.

Force Hax was one of the go to modding tools that cheaters and griefers used in GTA Online. Take-Two forced Force Hax to cease all distribution of the cheat menu and to donate their proceeds to charity.
“After discussions with Take-Two Interactive, effective immediately we are ceasing all maintenance, development

Rockstar Facing Backlash After Shutting Down GTA Modding Tool OpenIV

About 80% of the most recent 24,000+ Steam reviews for Grand Theft Auto V have been negative following the Take-Two Interactive shutdown of the popular GTA modding tool, OpenIV.

This community disgust doesn't just stop with the Steam reviews. Instead, it continues on to an ongoing petition at Change.org, which currently has nearly 25,000 signatures. The petition will be sent to both Take-Two and Rockstar.

Forza 7 Requires 100GB of Free Space at Launch

Forza Motorsport 7 is going to require a copious amount of free hard drive space when it launches later this year. While the PC system requirements did not seem to be too crazy, there was a noticeable omission of the HDD space requirements. The mystery remains no more because the game's store page was updated with that omission and boy is it a doozy. Both PC and Xbox One owners will need to have 100GB of free space for the game. This size was first noted by ...
