Doom Update 6.66 Unlocks All Multiplayer DLC for Free; Overhauls Progression System
Bethesda and id Software have blown open the gates (of hell) today with the 6.66 update for Doom. Today's update unlocks all multiplayer DLC content for all players. This includes nine maps, three weapons, three demons, new armor, and equipment that may have been locked behind a paywall with the game's Season Pass. This update also totally overhauls the game's progression system. In the past, gear such as guns, equipment, and customization options were unlocked randomly. Now, the unlocks... -

Telltale Announces The Walking Dead: The Final Season for 2018
Telltale Games announced today that they are working on The Walking Dead: The Final Season with hopes of getting it out some time in 2018. That's currently the working title for it, so I'm sure the final one won't be quite as on the nose as "The Final Season" is.
In a series retrospective released today in celebration of Comic-Con through Telltale's Summer 2017 Update, the development team at Telltale sat down to reflect on the journey of series protagonist 'Clementine' since the... -

Alex Mauer Admits Malicious Intent Against Don Thacker and Imagos in Recent Court Filings
In legal documents made public today by Imagos Films, Imagos Softworks, and Don Thacker against Alex Mauer, it looks as though Mauer acted with malicious intent against Don Thacker. She admitted to knowingly and willfully abusing the legal system in order to try to bankrupt Don Thacker and Imagos. In the lead up to this, Mauer has filed a number of DMCA takedowns across a number of YouTube videos. Many of these videos were from normal users that put up gameplay footage of the game ... -

A new PvE mode is being added to Titanfall 2 next week. The Operation Frontier Shield mode will allow up to four-players to take on a bunch of AI controlled enemies across five different maps. The update includes new enemy types in addition to two new maps (Rise & Township).
In Rise, long sight lines and tight quarters dictate the battle in the abandoned desert reservoir, while in the Live Fire map Township, cover is sparse for Pilots bold enough to leave the safety of a few houses,... -

Aaryn Flynn Leaving BioWare; Casey Hudson Returning as GM of BioWare
In what can only be described as a bit of "holy crap" news, comes this dual story from BioWare. Today, Aaryn Flynn announced that he is leaving BioWare and EA. Taking the reigns from him for General Manager of BioWare is Casey Hudson?
That's right, Casey Hudson is back as the General Manager at BioWare. This comes about three years after "retiring" from the gaming industry and about two years after joining Microsoft to work on Xbox and HoloLens. Whew, that's already a l... -

Ubisoft Again Kills Might & Magic Franchise as Showdown Pulled Off Steam Early Access
It looks like the Might & Magic franchise is once again dead. This is evident by the fact that Ubisoft Montreal, the development studio behind Might & Magic Showdown is killing the servers for the game at the end of July and has already made it so that nobody else can purchase the game through Steam. Might & Magic Showdown was available through Steam Early Access for $19.99 (USD) since mid-January 2017. This means that the game has had the ability to be sold to consumers as an Early Ac... -

Windjammers will be released on both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on August 29. Over at the PlayStation Blog, Marketing Manager Arnaud De Sousa talks a bit about the game, a little bit of which you can find below.
Windjammers is a straightforward game: two buttons, two characters, and a frisbee. That’s it. In pure arcade tradition, you only need 30 seconds to understand what’s happening on-screen. Add an amazing, authentic 90’s vibe (Windjammers debuted in 1994 on...

by Shawn ZipayIt's AAAA vs WB.
March isn't even over yet and we've already seen a couple of stinkers come out from major gaming studios. While we tend to focus on the surprise hits or quality titles in these polls, this time it's a little bit different.
