Call of Duty Shakeup - Call of Duty 2020 is Another Black Ops and Is Modern Warfare 4 Going Free-to-Play?

Reports include talk of arguments between Sledgehammer and Raven.

There are reported some massive changes happening behind the scenes of the Call of Duty franchise. According to a new report from Jason Schreier of Kotaku, Call of Duty 2020 is no longer being developed by Sledgehammer and Raven. It will instead be handled by Treyarch and it will be another entry in the Black Ops saga.

This is the first major change in the development cycle of the Call of Duty franchise since 2012. Since then, the Call of Duty games have cycled between three lead studios. Those studios...

Bungie Brings Back the Nerf Gun on Fan-Favorite Destiny 2 Weapons

Old Bungie is back.

Around the release of the Curse of Osiris update for Destiny 2, Bungie had vowed to take a drastically different approach to how they handle community favored weapons in the game. Old Bungie would have nerfed those weapons into the ground without a second thought.

But new Bungie? New Bungie said that they wanted to instead buff up other weapons to make them more attractive choices. This was a part of their "Go Fast Update" initiative. Specifically, here is what they said in all capital letters for some weird reason (via Game Rant).

The Epic Games Store just kicked off its own multi-week long sale today. This sale finds discounts of up to 75% off of some titles. It also includes discounts on pre-orders for games like John Wick Hex, Borderlands 3, or Control. Just to name a few.

The way this sale works is this: Some games that are already out are on sale for up to 75% off. Other games that don't have a percentage off will be at least $10 off if their regular price is $14.99 and higher. On top of this, there will be a free game given out...

Review: A Plague Tale: Innocence (PC)

Incredible from start to finish.

Every once in a while there comes a new game release that defies all expectations. A Plague Tale: Innocence is one such game. Thanks to a delicate balance of satisfying gameplay and an engaging story, A Plague Tale will sink its hooks into you right from its opening chapters. Though there are a couple of small missteps along the way, the journey you share with siblings Amicia and Hugo is one you really don't want to miss.

There are many more review "buzz words" I could use to describe A Plague Tale, but I will spare you from...

New Final Fantasy VII Remake Teaser

Just watch it.

A new teaser trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake was finally shown off today. It's the first one shown off in, I think, over a year. It's not much but maybe it'll be enough until we hear and see more this June. ...

  • Vice City Imported to Grand Theft Auto V

Vice City Imported to Grand Theft Auto V

There is an ongoing project for Grand Theft Auto V that looks to create a bunch of nifty tools and custom content for online communities to use. These tools and assets will eventually lead to custom multiplayer servers with custom game modes and all kinds of custom goodies. That's the super simplified version of what FiveM is all about. From the looks of things, one of those custom projects is importing old GTA worlds into the Grand Theft Auto V engine. I've already seen bits and pieces of the older games working but none seem to be quite as complete as this Vice City conversion. Sadly, this map is not yet available for downloa...

  • V-MODA Crossfade M-100 Headphones and BoomPro Microphone - Review

V-MODA Crossfade M-100 Headphones and BoomPro Microphone - Review

A solid headset, in more ways than one. I play games and report on those games for a living. Most of my workday is spent sitting in front of a computer. Usually, I have headphones on during that time, watching trailers, playing games, streaming games, or recording gameplay for YouTube videos. Hell, even after I'm done working I still have those headphones on while I listen to Twitch streams, listen to music, play games for fun, or even just for use in Teamspeak. Audio quality is obviously very important to me. However, two things are just slightly more important than audio quality in my book. Those are comfort and reliability. While I wouldn't buy the cheapest headphones I could find, I wouldn't exactly splurge on them either. I don't think I've ever owned any single pair of headphones that exceeded $100. I still read reviews on headphones that fit my criteria and would eventually select the ones I felt would last me the longest and were comfortable to wear. A system that worked for me for many years now. I never really experienced any one pair of headphones that sounded much better or worse than the previous ones. That is until I was given the opportunity to review the V-MODA Crossfade M-100 headphones. They are, honestly, not what I usually look for when I purchase headphones. That simply is because they are easily three times w...

Desura Parent Company Bad Juju Files for Bankruptcy Protection

According to a report from Gamasutra, Bad Juju has filed for bankruptcy protection. If that name doesn't sound familiar, perhaps you may better know them for Desura and Indie Royale, two companies owned by Bad Juju. Desura has been a fairly major player in selling and distributing Indie titles over these past 6 or so years.
Lisa Morrison, head of developer relations for Bad Juju issued the following remarks to Gamasutra:
"I asked Tony [Novak, CEO of Bad Juju] for confirmation and all he could tell me was, 'The lawyers have said I can't say anything or answer any questions yet, but yes it's true.'" I'm just shocked right now..

Today, Twitch revealed their big plans for live streaming the content coming out of E3 2015. Beyond simply broadcasting all of the press conferences, including the exclusive broadcast on the PC Gaming Show, Twitch has a few new tricks to reveal.
