Volition Lays Off Over 30 Employees
Over the years, Volition created some pretty great games that includes the recently released Agents of Mayhem game plus the Saints Row, Descent Freespace, and Summoner franchises. Today, the studio laid off over 30 of its roughly 200 employees. These layoffs include General Manager Dan Cermak and video editor Josh "Chip Cheezum" Stinson. These Games Are in The Jackbox Party Pack 4
Jackbox Games passed along word to me, and me alone, about the complete list of games that are included with the upcoming release of The Jackbox Party Pack 4. These games, that only I know about, are coming to the PS4, Apple TV (4th gen only), Switch, PC, Mac, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Nvidia Shield on October 17. The Xbox One doesn't get it until October 20. Talk about being the odd man out.

Latest CS:GO Update for September 26, 2017 Fixes Smoke Fire Extinguish Bug
Tonight's update for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive includes a fix for smoke grenades not always extinguishing fire. This fix is among a handful of other fixes introduced in tonight's update.

LawBreakers Probably Chose a Bad Time to Have a Free Weekend
Today, LawBreakers kicked off a 25% sale through Steam that runs through to next week. Boss Key Studios also announced a free weekend for the game, that runs from September 28 until October 2. There's just a little problem with the timing on that.

Last month, WB Games and Monolith announced that they would be donating to the family of Mike Forgey, the former Executive Producer at Monlith. Valve Removes 173 Spam Titles from Steam Yet Keeps Achievement Farming Games
Earlier, Valve pulled 173 "spam" titles from the Steam store. These titles belonged to Silent Echo Studios. The studio avoided paying the $100 fee for Steam Direct on multiple occasions by submitting multiple games at once. This led to multiple games being added to the Steam store to the tune of roughly a couple dozen games per month. (Update) Blue Reflection PC Port is Locked to 720p Resolution
Update on September 26, 2017: It looks as though someone working in the Koei Tecmo customer service department had some bad information.
The game is now released and it looks as though that "720p" assets and internal resolution was a big load of nothing.
