From the same company trying to sell you a $130 version of Star Wars Outlaws.

From announcing a $130 edition of Star Wars Outlaws to pulling game licenses from those that bought The Crew, Ubisoft sure is on a roll this week.

The Crew was Ubisoft's open-world racing game that was pulled from sale back in December 2023. As of March 31, 2024, Ubisoft shut down the online servers for The Crew. This effectively made the game unplayable across all platforms, including: PC,...

Tim Sweeney is always mad.

The antitrust lawsuit against Valve from Wolfire Games got a little spicy this week. To quickly get you up to speed: Wolfire claims that Valve uses its position with Steam to control game prices and muscle out competition. Though the initial lawsuit against Valve was dismissed, Wolfire amended their suit in May 2022 and the legal battle was back on.

It may have taken almost two years, but we are now starting to see some of the documents that...

Inmates Brings Psychological Horror to Steam Today

When I think of Steam, I think of a platform that is severely lacking in horror games. Specifically, I'm thinking of a platform that severely lacks psychological horror games. Thankfully, Iceberg Interactive and developer Davit Andreasyan thought this as well and have created and released a new psychological game, Inmates, on Steam today.

Inmates can be yours for $9.99 (USD; $8.99 for a limited time) through Steam.
In Inmates, players must solve mind-bending puzzles

The difference here is that all of the new content that will be included in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will be released for free to those that own the current release of Street Fighter V. • Everspace - Encounters Expansion Arrives this Month; 4K Support Hitting Xbox One X in 2018

Today, Rockfish Games announced Everspace - Encounters, the first major expansion for the "roguelike space shooter." This expansion is slated to hit at the end of this month, October, for the PC. This expansion release goes hand in hand with a promised free 4K update for the Xbox One X version of the game. This 4K update will arrive in early February 2018. I should perhaps clarify something here. The wording of the press release is a bit confusing. I'm not 100% sure that his expansion w...

Assassin's Creed Origins Video Focuses on Stealth and Freedom of Choice

If you don't like your Assassin's Creed Origins media to have a touch of humor with it, perhaps this is more your style. Ubisoft also released a new video today that focuses on the use of stealth. You remember stealth, right? It's only been a staple of the franchise from the beginning.

Here is Mikel Reparaz detailing how they approached some gameplay scenarios.
In what might be a series first, Assassin’s Creed Origins pushed me to use all of the tactics at my disposal,

  • Assassin's Creed Origins "Tales From the Tomb" Series Blends Gameplay and Comedy

Ubisoft tasked the creative agency, Heat, to make a series of 10 animated shorts for Assassin's Creed Origins. These shorts, at least according to Ubisoft, blend together comedy with gameplay.
Tales from the Tomb uses scenes re-created from real Ancient Egyptian art to imagine how everyday life might have been affected by the presence of sinister secret Orders and acrobatic Assassins. From a conversation about the use of performance-enhancing mummy dust in gladitorial fights to a

The Witcher 3 PlayStation 4 Pro Patch Enables 4K

The Witcher 3 on the PlayStation 4 just got that much better for those of you rocking a PlayStation 4 Pro console. CD Projekt RED released a patch today that includes 4K support along with a very slight boost to performance. The actual update is relatively small, so I wouldn't fret too much about it killing your bandwidth. However, since updates are usually cumulative when being calculated, you will need something like 20GB of free space on your storage device. People are already ...

    Fortnite Hits 7 Million Players

Fortnite sure has been busy these past couple of months. The game has grown to over 7 million players, which is about 6 million more players than it had at last check. Today's milestone seems to be for all of Fortnite, though the accompanying image specifically says Fortnite Battle Royale. You know what? It's a lot of people playing some form of "Fortnite." 7 million people to be more pre...
