Review: The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition

An easy purchase for new players but maybe a hard sell for existing owners.

It was not until I reinstalled the original PC release of The Outer Worlds that I was able to really appreciate the improvements made with the release of The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition. Initially, I believed that this looked exactly like the same game that I had played on PC back in late 2019 when it first came out.

"I'm just not seeing what makes this Spacer's Choice Edition worth...

    Slot Machines Throughout The Years

Fourth Battleborn Story Operation Available Today

Gearbox and 2K released the fourth Story Operation for Battleborn today. It's called Montana and the Demon Bear and I have a strong feeling that there is a bear involved.

In addition, the studio revealed the fifth Story Operation called Phoebe and the Heart of Ekkunar. I'm guessing there aren't any bears in that one, but one can hope.

30 Years On, Whatever Happened to Dizzy?

Back in 1987, long before Lara Croft emerged from a studio in Derby (in all her angular glory), a simple egg was the best video game hero the British could come up with. Named Dizzy, and created by the Oliver Twins - Philip and Andrew- the series told the story of a somersaulting adventurer with a weakness to everything, particularly hapless heroine, Daisy.

While originally not an egg at all (Dizzy was designed as simply a face with arms and legs due to thelimitations of the Sinclair...

Report: Nintendo Switch Online Service to Cost Around $25 per Year

According to reports coming out of Japan from Kantan Games' CEO, Dr. Serkan Toto, the annual price for the Nintendo Switch's online service will be between 2,000 to 3,000 yen. That is equal to about $17.50 to $26.50 (USD).

That's the price per year. This is a far cry from the roughly $60 (USD) that people pay for Xbox Live and PlayStation Plus per year. This is, of course, not factoring in reduced prices during sales.
    Naturally, the prices are ...

Monthly Poll

  • Poll: What Platform Do you Game on the Most?
    by Shawn Zipay
Do you prefer consoles? PC? Maybe mobile is your preferred platform?

This month's poll is a bit generic if only because I really don't know what to ask right now and this is the easiest thing that came to mind. The question is simple: Which sort of platform do you prefer to play games on?

Do you like playing on consoles? Do you prefer to play games on PC? What about mobile games? Maybe you prefer to spend most of your time on your phone playing this, that, or the other....
Consoles (Ex: PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, etc.)
    PC (Including Steam Deck)
Mobile (Ex: iOS or Android phones/tablets)
Standalone VR (Ex: Meta Quest 2)
Other (Ex: No preference or maybe you play only at arcades or those handheld Tiger Electronic games)
