Sony just laid off about 900 people across multiple PlayStation studios around the world. These 900 or so laid off employees account for roughly 8% of the total workforce for Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Embracer Lays Off 97 Employees from Eidos; Cancels New Deus Ex

Embracer's rampage continues.

Eidos-Montreal, a development studio currently under the Embracer umbrella, made the sad announcement that employees at the studio were being laid off. Eidos took to social media to confirm that 97 people have been let go "from development teams, administration, and support services".

    The PC 1.0 release of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is here. The battle royale game has left Steam Early Access and begun its life as a game that can now be reviewed and/or included on various Game of the Year lists.

    With tonight's release, we're looking at a ton of improvements, changes, and major additions since the previous Early Access release. Those of you who haven't played the new map, Miramar, that has been live on the PUBG test build, are in for a real treat. The map does a fantastic job of showing just how far the game has come since the initial release and honestly makes the first map, Erangel, look like amateur hour....
